Toots, Nice photo! I had a look at the poem by William Topaz McGonagall about the bridge.
It was tragic though!

Good morning all and thanks for the new thread Dee

What a lovely wintery sky in that photo. It is a frosty day in Belfast today too and the sky is a delicious lilac colour, to be enjoyed while clutching a hot cup of tea.

Thanks for the fresh thread, Dee!

Got my book off to the printer yesterday! Will play catch-up on some smaller stuff before I dive into the next project.

Sad day here in Milwaukee yesterday with the mass shooting at the brewery. I live about 10-15 minutes from there.

Have a Thunderous Thursday, overs!

Good morning, Overs!

It’s pouring rain and windy here this morning. A perfect day to stay in.

I got an automated feeder for Sassykitty to try to keep her from harassing me in the morning. I was desperate. I set the time and it opens automatically. It includes an ice pack to keep wet food from spoiling. The past two mornings have been much better! She still comes to greet me but no longer drives me crazy for 2 to 3 hours while I am trying to sleep until 6 am :-)

Toots, what an amazing story. Interesting that they are still trying to figure out exactly went wrong that fateful day. Also, it is better to live on top of the hill than at the bottom when floods occur!

Congrats on finishing your latest project FBL! Sorry to hear about yet another mass shooting in our country.

Sassy, I hope the auto feeder will allow you some sleep in the morning.

Good luck Purps on the job hunt. I read a while back that most people leave a job not because of the company, but because of their boss. Few have been trained in any management skills these days it seems.

Have a good day all!

Apologoes for being MIA. Turns out juggling daily ultrasounds with kids care and hubby’s 3 hour daily commute is non trivial .
egg retrieval procedure is tomorrow. So far so good. It will take a weel to grow and a week to test to know if we have any viable little ones. Next week is likely Grandma’s last week in OH as she has stopped eating. I would like to sit vigil to help my mom, but now is not a good time to travel due to the virus, It’s definitely a full circle of life packed into a week type of week.

I was MIA from my family for so long as an active addict and I have a lot of guilt about not going now because of it. I feel like I am repeating the same behaviors of being unavailable when it counts.

I hoped everyone has a good weekend.

Morning Overs

Hiya sydneyman, welcome to the Overs make yourself at home.

FBL, the shootings are so tragic and seems so futile. Scary when it’s so close too.

Sassy, I’m glad the automatic self feeder for sassykitty is working. I bought one when I was going to be out all day and evening at a wedding, a few years ago. It seemed to work a treat.

Quiet day today I think. We’ve rain forecast for most of the day so I’ll be home, catching up.

Have a Good Friday my friends xxxx

Good morning Overs

Our company ran a 'management' college, I'm not sure what they did to the candidates but they came back without their compassion intact

Have a good day everyone.

Hi Sydneyman and welcome, Always happy to see a new face.

FBL, as soon as I read the reports I thought of you, knowing it had happened in your town made it somehow closer for me to relate.

Mags I hope the weather and floodwater eases down your way. My birthplace in Shropshire is suffering badly just now.
Today we are off to play a few holes of golf then driving up to Aviemore in the Cairngorms for a couple of nights. It's a winter ski resort, it we will be hiking with the dog. It's my birthday so I'm being spoilt!
