.
Thaniks toots and Willow. And, everyone here at SR.
It's so much easier, less stressful and anxiety, when done with withdrawals and the barrage of urges. I am glad to be using naltrexone.
I've taken my meds for BP, Diabetes, Psych. and alcohol urges, no fail the last 127 days.
Just happy at the moment.
Yes the first few weeks are horrendous, it's one of the reasons I am determined not to lapse, as a good friend of mine says ' I might have another drunk in me, not sure I have another recovery'. I don't want u to ever find out.

Up real early but that's alright. I like the mornings. I don't like the sick feeling I have too often. Mostly I think it's hunger. Also I'm not too far removed from being sick twice.
I now see why I would isolate for days on end after a bender. I'd be so sick, from withdrawals too, but more for just the abuse of my body and organs. Terrible abuse.
All of these decades after being in AA, Alanon, NA, and I got some decent I think quality time. I'll try to remember since when and it must go back to my VA treatments almost 15 years. All of that time with one foot in active disease and one toe in recovery.
I don't think people got sick of me, but I do think I tired them out!
Enough. I'm happy were I'm at. And I'm happy where you all are at! -- Gregory

Love the photo Willow, I'm glad you got the chance to have some time with nature.
Wisc, I am sure those folk are proud of you, and think of it as preparation for this. I always keep a glass of water at the bedside, I wake often during the night and always have a few sips, then drink the rest on waking. Not only does it replenish, but it does fill my stomach for a while!
