Good going everyone. I know these are difficult times, now and in the months ahead. Sobriety will help you deal so much better than trying to drink your troubles away would have. I have so much more equanimity towards events happening ow than I would have in my drinking days.

Congrats on 28 days, Peacemanic! Nice to see you here.
Congrats on 6 months, Wisc and on Seven Years Toots! I loved your post Toots, thanks so much for sharing that.
I am on 40 days. I'm in the February 2020 class. I've been in SR for a long time, off and on. I don't ever want to drink again, and I've learned the hard way that it takes work to stay sober. And community, which I am happy to find here.

Hey 369, good to see you!

Wisc, congratulations on 6 months mate, that's brilliant. How are you feeling now? Are you still self isolating?
It's good to see everyone managing the current crisis alongside their recovery. It goes to show we don't need to drink and escape reality - we can actually deal with it!

Am social distancing.

You all are doing so well, especially in the face of this global health scare. Someone on another thread mentioned that we might survive this scare more readily than the general public because we have developed a "mental hardness" while overcoming addiction. I like that idea.

Stay safe all!

I hope my mental hardness will develop soon. At this point, still very soft and permeable.
I'm cleaning my house. If I have to stay here, it should be clean.
Five o'clock and not even a little urge toward drinking!

Good going Karen, a clean and tidy home will give you an element of pride too which helps at keeping drinking thoughts away.
We can too easily be down on ourselves, which leaves us open to AV. We need to remember - everyone of us here no matter how many slips - are strong, are worthy, are capable of great things. And we are all survivors.
