I made an ugly ****** doll so every time my nasty neighbor gets in my face, a big sharp pin gets stuck in the doll
But really, this has been very therapeutic, I usually crochet teddy bears and nice toys

Wow tgirl! Are those photos of toys you've made? They're gorgeous. Too lovely to be stuck with pins but hey, if it's therapeutic and helps you deal with your nasty neighbour, keep sticking those pins in! I bet making toys is therapy in itself. I'd love to be able to make stuff but alas, I'm useless in that respect. I tried to build a stacked storage box from Ikea last week. I read the instructions thoroughly before starting. I laid everything out on the floor so I understood what everything was and then I read the instructions again. Then I followed the instructions exactly and started to build and it was a total disaster. First of all, at least I was still calm. To begin with I could even laugh at my pathetic attempt. I could still see the funny side. But then the frustration arrived and the tears and the anger. Why did the instructions not make any sense? Why do I buy flat pack furniture anyway? It never works when I try to build it? I was at the point of giving up when my husband got back from work, looked at the carnage and then built the storage box thing without even looking at the tear stained instruction manual. It's actually very irritating but I console myself with the fact that he can't spell very well. I'm much better than him at spelling. So he's better than me at anything practical and genuinely useful in life but if we ever find ourselves in a spelling bee competition, I would definitely win.
Storm Brendan seems to have calmed down in my neck of the woods this morning but was battering down on us last night. How I wish I could send the rain to Australia. Love to everyone there and everywhere and 24 more for me please xxx

Up for 24 more hours of sobriety. Requesting a step up.
I very well could be misusing the terms "dry," "sober," "recovering."
Dizzy: thanks for the question, and it prompted me to do some research online. Here, soberrecovery (SR), and AA/NA/Alanon, and professional medical org.s can help.
A rigid defining of "dry drunk" from addiction.com: A “dry drunk” is a person who has stopped drinking (or drugging) but has not made the psychological and emotional changes necessary to achieve a complete recovery from alcoholism or drug addiction.
I personally think it is a lifetime recovery, but for some people they consider themselves as recovered.
Which is fine.

24 more please. Somehow I towed 4296 meters yesterday at exercise. There is a challenge to win $1k if you lose the most % of body fat. I still think the only way to win is to do something silly with my diet. Like keto. Because I’ve been working out pretty consistently every week and I’m still at the same weight. Lots of catch-up work still left to do at the office. Congratulations to everyone celebrating milestones today!
