The beauty of this time of year. Breakfast of Haagen Daz swimming in double cream and dark chocolate chunks. Morning!

Had a good 6 mile walk and round 2 of Xmas dinner. Now watching a rerun of this year's US Masters golf and that great Tiger come back. Happy days.

How are you feeling today, Tap?

venuscat 12-26-2019 06:16 AM

Off to make a second yummy Nespresso latte and toast with vegemite. :)

(Too chubby for a Haagen Daz and chocolate breakfast :)).
(Although I could...I have both of those things here...he he).

Yeah I'm offsetting it all with long walks and golf. Being very disciplined. Man I'm feeling good today. Need to keep this not drinking stuff up!

venuscat 12-26-2019 07:56 AM

Morning all. Day 54 and officially made it through my first sober Christmas since 2016. It was lovely. Now off to see the new Star Wars and later cooking dinner for the family of my bf’s sick friend. Have a great day!

SBTS, you really sound rock solid. Your Xmas sounded quite stressful and sounded like you handled a lot of tricky situations head on whereas I felt I kinda hid away - but, hey, the goal is not drinking and not setting up that next drink by stressing myself out. If that means running away and hiding for a while then so be it! I haven't had any cravings since I stopped but have had lots of drinking thoughts. I'm sure those cravings will come but am glad they have not yet.

I fly back tomorrow and will be glad to get into 2020 sober and with the view of cracking on from there. Like I keep saying, the real test will be from the 30th when I will be home alone with noone to account to but myself.

I think you did brilliantly Briansy! :)

You were away from your current home, back at your parents and that stuff is filled with triggers. And every time you got stressed you did something positive and nurturing.

SBTS is amazing huh.....that's a lot of people to deal with on a constant basis....I do not think I would be able to keep up. :)

What you did is going to stick in your mind and heart as a huge WIN. :) s

Would certainly be amazing if it leads to greater things, Suze! Hiking tomorrow, then lunch with friends then back "home" to London. Happy days.
