Happy Halloween everyone!

:SpiderHL::Blackcat04:

It's going to be a wet, windy one where I'm at. Luckily, the kids don't really care as long as they're getting their loot!

Hello June class! Checking in to see how everyone is doing and to add that I'm doing well. I'm still feeling strong and committed to being sober.

Hi nadt - good to hear you are doing well. I too am feeling strong and committed to being sober (but definitely not complacent or over confident!). Seems like a long time since June but it remains my absolute conviction that it's only because I signed up to SR then that I am now heading for 5 months freedom from alcohol.

Hi shortstop, hi Abraham - glad to know you are still in the game.

Venus - great happy Halloween picture. I often read your posts in other threads. Your support for everyone is superlative. How are you doing?

shortstop81 11-08-2019 03:53 AM

Hey everyone, just checking in.

Hi Rose - approaching 5 months is a great feeling! This will be the longest period of sobriety for me since 2013 when I was pregnant. For me, there's not going back now, but I also understand there's a fine line before it turns into complacency.

I only know that I'm getting better by looking backwards and comparing. Positive change has been slow but steady. My moods are more stable and my brain is working better. I'm less overwhelmed with the demands of the day-to-day. I'm still quite forgetful and and not very well organized, but I think that's slowly improving.

It's great to still be here and checking in with SR everyday. It's been a GREAT lifeline for me.

That's a great achievement, Soberstop. Your longest period of sobriety for 6 years! So well done. You have every reason to be very proud of yourself. Agree absolutely about guarding against complacency but it sounds like we can be cautiously optimistic.

And of course I endorse what you said about SR. This blessed state would not have been achieved without it!

Have a lovely weekend.

My week started horrendously and is ending in a very positive happy place.
THIS is sobriety for me.....our ability to work through things and actually fix them sometimes, when we can. :)

It is a long time since June, isn't it....so glad you are still here and sober lovely June peeps. :) ❤️❤️❤️

Abraham 11-17-2019 02:34 PM

Just droppin in and sayin hi. I'm onlilne looking for a new tv and thought about SR and how I'm sober and would have been close to passing out right about now at only 6 pm and now I'm up and ready for anything. Although I'm just going to relax and surf the net anyway. Times are good. My resilience is strong. I wish anyone struggling still the best of luck. How are you all doing since June my fellow June class? Hopefully enjoying a nice alcohol free weekend and some Thanksgiving leftovers. Happy holidays June class.

venuscat 11-29-2019 03:02 PM

Hey lovely one....Happy TG to you too. :))
What kind of TV?
It is SO hard to choose....I have a brand I like.....but still. :) s

Abraham 11-29-2019 04:55 PM

oh just a flat screen led. I finished the basement so I am torn between getting a nice new tv for up here and put the old one down there or just get a cheaper one to put down there. But even the cheaper new one would probably be nicer than the one up here since its alot newer so.....
I'm eyeballing the Samsung - 65" Class - LED - Q70 Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR

venuscat 11-29-2019 05:00 PM

Ah ha....I love Samsung TVs. And phones. :) s
