September 2020
come and join us!Our August 2020 thread is now here:
https://www.soberrecovery.com/forums...art-2-a-3.html (Class of August 2020 Part 2)
As an alumnus of the class of 2010, I always post in September to offer hope and support. I'm ten years without a drink. Every sober day a blessing. A life without alcohol can be found. It often won't feel like it, and you often won't believe it, but it's true. Sobriety is not a punishment.
Commit to quitting. Accept you can never drink again. And do whatever you can to support that decision.
Welcome to Sober Recovery. Stick around.

I'm in. I've been in a few classes. Thanks to Dee, Caramel, doggoncarl. You have no idea how much you mean to all us struggling. A bit of tapering today, to hopefully avoid the gastrointestinal pyrotechnics, as I like to call withdrawal. But I'm in. Thanks.

Bless you Venus. We have a new cat, a stray, black as night. We didn't really pay much attention, so we cal!ed him Sally. Because he's a Sally.
Anyway, we got him all his shots, got him fixed. Tomcat head and the body of a squirrel. Sally the squirrel.

I'm joining the Class Of Septenber 2020 as I foolishly slipped last week and started drinking again. I finished last night and now I'm going through Day 1 hell feeling absolutely shattered.. Thankfully the drop in group in my locality I was attending until March is soon to restart so at least I have somewhere to physically attend as well as visiting here at SR.
It's spider season here in the UK (and probably elsewhere) and it's quite common to have them inisde houses at this time of year.
