im trying to coparent as best I can while we figure out to divorce or not. He asked me last night if I would go to his family’s house for Thanksgiving. Perhaps honesty is the best way to deal with this.....even if they are not very understanding, if you speak your truth quietly and honestly....that it is very difficult for you to make such a long drive.....I think that's what I would do.

Good afternoon all. I need to have a good read around SR to help me out of my pity pit. Feeling very disheartened by my lack of weight loss despite my angelic efforts this week. I know it's so tiny on the grand scale of issues but today I'm feeling it. Ugh! Anyway I've done some cleaning and will take the dog for a walk. Physical activity that's what I need but my goodness I struggle to prise myself off the sofa.
Okay that's my whine over with.
I mean come on I am sober!!!!! When did that become something I take for granted? Tut tut Jojo be grateful and keep looking forward.

Doing a drive by- still living the sober life and its been busy and productive. Seeing so many familiar names and friends makes it feel like coming back to the neighborhood... Congrats to all and hugs and support to those who are struggling.

Same thing happened to me....I put on a HUGE amount of weight due to menopause, and when I got really serious about losing it I was terribly disheartened for the first week...I thought my metabolism was not going to obey me....but finally a pound fell off.

Then another one......and more followed. And I bet it will be the same for you.

Good morning, finally could log in, stormy weather yesterday and power flickered and had trouble with computer logging into everything. Hope everyone is having a great sober day. Just got back from dog walk in a heavy downpour, amazing how good rain gear can make being out in the rain fun.

24 more sober hours please ❤

Had a lovely lunch yesterday for Mum's birthday. It's her family meal tonight. She wants me and my sister to say something so the anxiety is setting in already. Usually I would be full of wine, but not tonight. Tonight I will be sober.

Past events if I'd not had enough wine I have stuttered really badly, not been able to speak and had people laugh at me.
She can't understand why, tells me I'm stupid for getting like it.
Tonight I will take it as it comes, but I will be sober and the glass I raise will have tonic water in it. And if my hands are shaking I just won't raise my glass.

Wow....I could barely check in last night and could feel a 10-hour sleep coming on. So I ended up sleeping 12! I never do that, I’m kind of an insomniac . I knew today was a free day so I slept from 9-9. Groggy but so glad. Couldn’t do that while drinking. Even if it was 8 hours it was broken and not refreshing. You know, the 3am heart-pounding episodes and no dreams. So grateful.

Ok. So today I will read, exercise, cook and relax. Maybe pick up sticks. Should I pick up sticks or watch a movie? I love days where I can make inane decisions like that.

So rare. October is my favorite month. I am a Fall girl.

Now, back to the coffee..
