Ohhh I typed a long post and tried posting it to a closed thread!!! Lost it. Will try to recreate it later. First time that happened.
All is good...it really helped me writing about recovery in the morning...instead of being actively sick drinking alcoholically in the morning.
Dee thanks for the thread and list.
CONGRATULATIONS

thanks for the Congrats Wiscsober, think writing about stuff is a good way to gain perspective on things and helps me get things out that im angry or frustrated about without talking to people, which can be bad. the notebook doesn't get mad, hurt, or judgemental. take care

Got here at last. 24 hours more please.
VoVo - nothing I really feel I can say to help re your mother but you have my sincere sympathy.
Venus - hope you get better soon. Sinusitis is no fun and nor is tinnitus (as I know from experience).

Hello,
No guilt for me either, JoJo-I’m home and lounging despite the myriad things that need doing. Started work at 5:30am, so at 3pm I’m done. I need rest more than anything else. Dropping the guilt so thank you for sharing that! I can never seem to make up for my wickedness or whatever.. not today. Free pass for a bit of self care. I will have a good soak in the garden tub—it’s been waiting for Summer to end and today it did.
So...95F degrees yesterday afternoon, which is crazy hot. Then...44F today with high winds and rain. 51 degree drop. Unreal! I think that’s 36C to 7C . I’m in shock and just turned on the heat so I’ll stop shaking. Definitely some crazy October weather in many places..hope everyone is safe and warm and out of harm’s way.
Looking forward to a good rest, a couple shows, a good supper and some recovery work. I’m so happy to have another Friday night sober. It always crosses my mind when I drive away from work on Friday afternoon, but it’s like a quick glimpse of a ghost or something and it’s not a big fight to shut that ‘voice’ down anymore. In a matter of seconds the thoughts come, then I dismiss them. No big fight, no struggling to steer the car away from the convenience store, just the very quick decision to go home, or some place I need to be.
Candles are lit, (I’m holding off on the furnace..haha)..and I am reading some fabulous posts. Kenton, JoJo, Wisconsin..It means a lot to have this place to come to. 24 for me. I am so lucky.
Xxxx
