Took my kids to visit my baby Goddaughter today. She is beyond gorgeous!! Cuddled her for hours. It feels like such an honour to be asked to be a Godmother, makes me feel so proud. And double pride alert.... I was so proud of my kids during the visit. They all took turns to cuddle the baby and were so gentle and thoughtful and generally lovely with her. Now they keep asking for a baby brother or sister! I had four children within 5 years so I guess none of them remember the sleepless nights and the crying.... they were all too young when each new baby arrived. I've explained to them that whilst I love babies and love being a Godmother, our family will not be getting any bigger - well, not until they start having kids. And not unless we get another dog. So now they're all talking about when we get another dog. Like it's a definite plan. It isn't a definite plan. I only said it to stop all the demands for a baby. But now they keep showing me really cute photos of puppies. And my eldest daughter has got the details of the nearest animal rescue centre. And they're talking about where the new dog is going to sleep. And names. They're coming up with a lot of names. I keep trying to distract them with family movies and popcorn but I fear this thing has gained a life of it's own and I'm powerless to stop it. And the thing is, dogs are really awesome and I bet there's loads of dogs at the animal shelter who really need a home and it may be good for my dog to have company and …. 24 more for me please xxxx

Sad, low, lonely, anxious, missing my children and ex partner beyond words. Haven't seen them since Christmas Day and it's breaking me.
But it's ok because it doesn't show on the outside, apparently.

Nearly 5 months sober and just over a year clean, and it's beginning to feel like there's no point. I know in my heart that there is, but this stuff hurts. It really hurts.

I’d like to check in for another 24 hours if I may, and ask for some help to get away from my negative thinking and maybe just a little bit of positivity and reassurance.
