Hey Gang,
Here it is Oct 5 and it's a very good day, 1) it's been 29 months since my last drink 2) I've completed my probation for my DWI. I guess you could say I receive my associates degree in alcoholism today. All I know is that through the good and bad I've been very blessed over the last 29 month, I like what I have and plan on keep doing what I'm doing. I’ll take another 24 hours. That's all for now

Thought I'd get up early today and have one of those high functioning Saturdays where I get loads of stuff done and totally obliterate my 'to do' list. Started great. Got up at 6.30 and got the school uniforms, PE kits, football boots cleaned and put away. Sorted out my kitchen cupboards and mopped all the floors. Made breakfast and went to the supermarket. Popped into a pharmacy on the way and had my flu jab. Came home with all the shopping and put it away. Walked the dog, helped the kids with their homework, sat down with a cup of tea and allowed myself to feel a little bit smug. Look at me, getting this life thing all under control. Then my phone went. It was my friend from San Francisco. Asking where I was? Eh? I'm here, drinking tea and feeling smug. But I was supposed to be at the airport collecting her. What?? Isn't that next Saturday? I was sure that was next Saturday. Hang on, is it the 5th October already? How did that happen? Aahhhh!!! I checked the calendar. It is 5 October and it's written all over the calendar. How did collecting my friend from the airport get missed off the 'to do' list?? That should have been top of the list but somehow cleaning football boots took priority. All sorted out now. Everything's fine. And she's my best friend so she knows my heart is in the right place. I can just be a bit dopey sometimes.... Especially when I think I've got everything under control. Lesson to self. Never feel smug. And if I do ever feel smug, check the calendar. And then panic. Love to everyone and 24 more for me please xxxx

I think that's kind of funny kent....I would do that too.....write it down in huge print and even set a calendar notification, and I would walk around all day not knowing that it was actually Oct 5 TODAY.... Glad you have your best friend with you....have a wonderful time love! ❤️❤️❤️
