8 weeks milestone
You all here on SR are huge support
Haven't checked with this thread for awhile but so happy and proud to now.
Thanks for the welcomes when I was at a few days.
Been with SR and recovery efforts for quite awhile...
at times I've given up sobriety...but I dust myself off and try again.
At least 1/2 - 1 hour spent daily on SR for 2 months.
Adhering to HALT and KISS and medication regimen.
Haven't been to 12 step meetings but all that work and study over the decades has paid off...especially dealing with guilt, shame, and amends. I'll get back to AA and Alanon soon.
Checked up with blood tests and meds and physical with my GP. Psych visit to discuss meds. A committed daily use, not missing a dose, of my diabetic meds, BP meds, anti-depressant, sleep med, and "anti-craving" med, has helped tremendously.
Excellent nutrition and hydration helps so much.
and ODAAT...
need to subscribe to this thread too.

Fantastic Wiscsober, congratulations on 2 months and on your determination to stay sober, healthy and well. I'm glad SR is here for you, in my first year I spent a good couple hours a day here, sometimes more if I needed the additional support.

Wiscsober - I said it in the 24 hour thread but now I'm seeing it again. Great work on 8 weeks of being sober. I know how good that feels.
Toots - I definitely believe in the power of sharing on SR. I don't actually know why it works, only that it does. I would not have achieved my 140 days plus without having signed up, and posted, here. I know this because I tried again and again, often whilst avidly reading SR as a lurker. No success until I joined. Maybe it's because it's an unusually non-judgemental, interesting and honest site. I have to say that once you join I don't know what you'd have to do to feel unsupported.
Hi to all Unders and I wish you all a good and of course sober weekend.

Hi Wisc, Congratulations on 8 weeks, brilliant! You’re doing great. I notice how supportive you are to the 24 ers and all around you
Rose, I agree, coming on SR does help stay on the sober path. I like that everyone here knows my problem and ‘gets’ me, sharing the same problem. I can be my true self here. It’s liberating and empowering. ‘The truth shall set you free’ I read somewhere. I can hold my head up now, I don’t need to lie, or plan and scheme anymore. I’m happy simply being me.

I'm having a hard time. Am at work. Fridays are often hard because I serve wine to the residents and I'm tired. Just wanted to say it. I will come back later and let you know if I make it home without drinking! That's my plan.
