Oh dearest Trees? Indeed twill be a Yuge test for you, but can pass easily with flying colours with suggestions already posted! What I’ve learned in mtgs & SR is put your wine glass upside down & when waitress( usually won’t ask if you want wine) asks what you wanna drink just say water, sweet tea or soft drink. Now some people sitting around after gotten a buzz, will ask why you’re not drinking or offer you a shot on them; I would say I’ve already had enough for the day & need to take care of my little ones when I leave(which is the truth for you-I substituted self for you). That’s that & no one will annoy you anymore with irritating questions

Unusually busy couple of days for me so glad to have finally been able to read your posts and to pledge another 24 hours.
Thanks so much for your congratulations wiscsober. I hope Comet continues to do well.
Really liked your suggestions to Trees, 1newcreation. I shall definitely use those myself.
James - I thought Kenton's and Venus's responses were spot on so I can't add anything but you have my sympathy. I guess keep on keeping on (as calmly as possible) is the only way forward.
Venus! - doesn't sound like you had the easiest evening/day emotionally. Glad things eased up for you.

Hey everyone. I need and want another 24 hours of sobriety and the knowledge that I have a choice today.
I have the opportunity to face life and deal with what comes, and although not every day is a good day, I have the option to do it sober, therefore I stand a chance of making much better decisions.
My HP will only give me as much to deal with as I can handle. Apparently I’m a badass with the power to deal with some pretty tough emotions right now.
At tonight’s homegroup meeting the topic was self pity, based around a reading from ‘living sober ‘.
Very apt for me. I’m overprone to that emotion. I tend to carry around a lot of negative stuff like they’re little treasures, and I’ll get them out and polish them whilst I’m wallowing in the ‘poor me’ thinking.
I need to begin to be kinder to myself.
It’s late and I’m off to bed but I’d like to wish peace, love and kindness. I’m only alone if I choose to be. All I have to do is reach out.

8:48 pm in California and checking in for another 24. It was another beautiful day here, it cooled down a little and I’m hoping we get a little taste of fall weather, or as close to fall as we get in Southern California.
I have a training at 9:00 tomorrow, so actually get to go to work a little later. Hope everyone had a great day. Congrats to all celebrating a milestone today!

Finally got a brand new set of contacts as a trial by optometrist! Apparently, the older I get the more I have to be cautious to take em out nightly, which I hate coz it’s so time consuming!! But then, the thought came for first time ever, if I change my attitude, maybe removing & putting them back on won’t be hard. I’ll give it a try & tell you guys in a wk the result. Then ate @ five guys which I hadn’t in more than a yr; it’s a new area to me & the doctor’s office is middle of nowhere, so I noticed it after my third visit to optometrist. In & Out is still my fav but 5 guys is a close second; cheeseburger bacon was so awesome I’m now craving another

Hi,
I'm a little late checkin in for my next 24. But, we had a nice light dinner on the Ship. Then watched a silly/funny audience participation show. The Ship is rocking tonight.
Today in Ensenada we started off with cooler temps than anticipated, but very nice to shop & browse. However, back at the boat it rained while we were still docked.
Tomorrow is a full Sea Day, hope it's not raining. We'll see .... boy I'm in bed & feel the waves bouncing my bed. I wear a "sea sick patch" ---forget the official name. So I don't feel poorly, just notice it.
