Class of July 2013 Part 58
Hi Julyers
A right miserable day here, weather wise. Wet and dull.
Not up to much just made a grocery order to be delivered tomorrow morning.
Hope you’re all ok. Sending love and best wishes, oh and a smattering of hugs.

Dee, yes the days are always fine thanks, despite the weather etc.
I think for me, being sober makes it possible to manage all that life throws at us.
Everything was such a drama, but nowadays it could be bordering on boring....some may say....but not me..I love what sobriety has given me.

Hi to all Julyers
This post made me smile, I will take boring over being drunk anytime.
Even our boring days are good now cos we don’t have to fight hangovers. It’s bliss :-)
Snooz- yes still go to meetings, am treasurer of my home group. I do not sponsor- 2 reasons...that I am still working out my own crap- and do not want to stress others, and conversely- do not want to be at the tail end of it.
What I do- is be a friend, not judge- I listen, drink coffee (der!) and just be with people- to understand. As to how I feel- doing ACT stuff with psychologist- explained in COM'16. I feel calm, anticlimactic (no more burns unit being a big part of my life), accepting-calm being the operative word.
Great we are getting all this rain.

Hi Julyers
I hope you’re all well
The weather is up and down today, sunshine, then rain then repeat! Talk about the good British weather!
Been to in-laws today and mum in law is getting so much worse with her dementia. She tells us the same thing over and over and over and I just answer her if it’s the first time she said it. Hubby moves the subject on and then she mentions some other thing, again and again. ....I can see it is a strain on my dad in law. Such a cruel disease. Sadly.

Hi Julyers
How’s everyone doing ? Good I hope.
You know coming on SR with my morning cuppa then times through the day too, I realise it’s not just to pledge my sobriety (though that is so important I know) but to see how everyone is getting on with their sobriety and share their happiness, grief, sadness.
I feel like I’m visiting friends and sometimes you don’t really have to have much to say with friends, just a hiya or a .
It’s a great support link for us all.
Hope it’s a good Monday for everyone xx
