Beautiful day again. Just about to have a BBQ, probably the last of the year but fortunate for the UK ❤

Hey folks, just checking in to pledge another 24. Not much to say tonight really, I worked this morning and for some reason I had a really strong urge to just go and get absolutely smashed on whatever I could get my hands on. First time I’ve felt like that for ages and I’m just over 4 months sober and coming up to a year clean.
I went and spent some of my wages on a PlayStation and a shed load of junk food instead, then went to my homegroup meeting.
I’m now ready for my bed, still clean and sober and grateful for the reality check. Things aren’t always easy but I have a genuine choice today to not pick up, and the strength to follow through on that decision.
It’s a full moon here and I’m tired, these are also contributing factors in my strange frame of mind tonight. It’s beautiful but the full moon always affects me.
So I’m hoping for some sleep, I’d like a little lie in tomorrow but I don’t think my brain will allow it. Perhaps I’ll go for a swim tomorrow morning if I can’t stay in bed.
I know this crap will pass, but that doesn’t make the pain any less real when I’m in the middle of it

Finished my wk with four mtgs when @ first thought I was only gonna make one; I’m still learning my work schedule but it looks great for now!! Can’t believe I’m gonna be off every other Fri & also off every Sat...wow Been probably since before ‘01 that’s happened
