Well today is the day...Dorian is supposed to be offshore about 100 miles from Jacksonville. Forecast rain and winds most of the day. Three zones in the city have mandatory evacuation orders. Bridge closures expected if winds reach 40mph. I went out for a short time yesterday, my Tuesday AA meeting decided to cancel. Normally I would attend Bible study this morning and have a day filled with step work with sponsees, relapse prevention and life skills classes and ending with a speaker meeting but the city is pretty much shut down and they have evacuated the treatment center. I'm actually glad to have a Wednesday at home even if it is hurricane watching. Please continue to pray for all in Dorian's path.

6:45 am. Slept in as I got home late from work last night.

I am confused. I have this back and forth energy that continues to go on about ending my marriage. I know in my heart that the romantic side is over. I am past the stage of denial, anger, depression and am now ready to accept.

Going to meet with one of my best friends tomorrow for advice and support.

I want more than anything to find a way to be financially prosperous and independent. I was looking into going to school to become a massage therapist but I don't think I can make the hours work at this point while still picking up the kids from school and working 3 days a week. I also think I need to stick to my original goal of building my Reiki practice and gaining more clients so that I can finally find a spot in a wellness center.

If anyone out there likes the metaphysical stuff like I do, Lee Harris puts out an "energy update" reading every month on YouTube. He reads the energy of the planet and gives advice. Well September is all about integration and grief turning into power. It's spot on for me. I have finally processed the final step in the grieving over the death of my marriage. And now I need to turn that grief into power, build my Reiki business and become the successful person I came here to be.

I only mention it because I tried it last night in desperation to get to sleep and beat this darn jet lag and it actually worked!! You breathe in for the count of 4, hold your breath for the count of 7 and then breathe out for the count of 8. You do that a few times and see what happens. Apparently it also helps if you're ever feeling stressed or panicky throughout the daytime too.
