Hi Mags! Yes, we went over to Brownsea Island the other day and it was magnificant! So much incredible wildlife and the trees!! Don't get me started on the trees! My teenage daughter complained non stop about exploring the island on the basis that it was 'boring' and my very grumpy father-in-law complained non stop about the ferry crossing, the price of admission, the weather, the walkways blah blah blah. In the end I suggested those two sit in a cafe and complain to each other so that the rest of the family and I (aka the non-complainers) could enjoy the beautiful place in peace! A few years ago, the complainers would have really wound me up and I probably would have ended up snapping at them. Now I recognise that their issues are nothing to do with me. My daughter finds nature and wildlife boring because she's a teenager and would much rather be on a rollercoaster. I get it. And my father-in-law has always been grumpy. I get it. However, their issues don't have to disturb my internal peace. It's like when people can't be happy for me when things go well. That used to really upset me. Not anymore. Not my issue. Makes me feel a little sad ..... Imagine not being able to feel happy for other's success?? What a miserable existence. But it doesn't wind me up. Not anymore. I'm responsible for my own happiness and it's got very little to do with anyone else. Such freedom! Thanks Mags, hope you and everyone here has a great day. 24 more for me please xxxx
Kenton that’s a really good way of looking at it. And your daughter and father-in-law could stay drinking tea and coffee and be happy too. Nature just isn’t for everyone. I love trees but when I was younger the only way I thought of a tree is how to get to the top!
There’s so much to see in this incredible world and a lot of it is on our own doorstep.
I’m pleased it was a good day.

LOL!! Maybe every amusement park/wildlife centre/beach/shopping centre/every other venue could have a coffee and complaints cafe where people who aren't having fun can drink coffee and complain. They'd be happy. People having fun would be happy. Everyone can be true to themselves and no one has to walk on eggshells trying to accommodate anyone else. Think we've stumbled upon a genius plan..... Xxxx

Congrats to Milestoners & My thoughts & prayers & hope to you if you are struggling or suffering with anything today.
I have an Interview next week for a 3 month temp contract. It's general office stuff so I think I can do it. I used to.....but the interview process terrifies me. My confidence is low and with that and the fact I'm no longer the Spring chicken I used to be.
Anyhow, it's an interview and I just have to do the best I can.
