24 Hour Recovery Connections Part 450
Hi everyone,
I’m feeling hopeful and positive; less worried. My mother was finally discharged from the rehab hospital to home after 3 episodes of septic shock since April. She’s doing well and my father is doing better having her home. Still a lot to manage and be concerned about, but I need to stay sober, stay in the day and get some rest. As a recovery person I need to check myself on the worrying. Action, acceptance peace..a lot of faith and hope.
So happy to be sober today with all of you. Big re-organization at work but it’s looking positive for us, I think. Whatever comes is manageable. Sobriety, family, friends, and I still definitely have a job though I’m not sure what I’ll be called or where I’ll be stationed...it will be fine.
I need to find some supper, and can spend time strengthening my recovery and spiritual condition—it’s a great day.
24, for sure! Love to all.
Xx

How are you honey?
I may not be in all of the same threads as you....just miss hearing your awesome posts. How is work? How is your coworker doing since she came back? How are your dogs? xxxxx
I’m pretty cool with the restructuring..stuff like that used to rattle me but the past few months have taught me it’s not epic at all Change can be good and I do believe this one is.
Yay!!!! How we are growing.....change is awesome. When I tell you the changes I have made in the past week you will be happy for me....I need to organise one bit still, ok 2, but a job, a volunteer counselling job and finally studying to be an addiction counsellor starting Aug. And a few more things. I love growth, and without change how is that possible?
We are blossoming. I am a little bit of a late bloomer however.

Sincere condolences Whopper! & sympathy to others in grief or pain
Monthly detox commitment started off with me & a new guy then four others joined later(which @ first felt weird). I work on keeping my sobriety fresh coz I’ve heard @ around the seven yr mark, alkys hit a plateau where things are normal again & lives have been restored eg house, family, cars etc. May I never be satisfied but stay hungry in sobriety!!
