Sweeti, you said you had your outpatient clinic appointment for today (Friday). Let us know how it goes.

We talked about various options for detoxing. He wasn’t that helpful and he was a bit bossy to me. I told him I can easily do it at home. My problem is staying off alcohol after the detox. I am seeing him again in 3 weeks and hope to have my crap sorted by then.

Glad you tried, at least, by going.

I read this in another thread and thought I'd share with you. Just to show that there are other people out there struggling too.

Today was a loooonggg day everyone, i may have set a world record of 6 AA meetings in one day! I had 4 truly amazing mtgs and 2 soso mtgs lol.

Thanks Ayers. It’s nice to know I am not the only one struggling. Wow 6meetings in a day. We don’t even have that many.

you could still be accountable for your recovery by attending as many as you could, sweeti.
what does,"He wasn’t that helpful and he was a bit bossy to me." mean?

^ This. I would also like to know.
You mentioned you can easily detox at home, so what does it entail? Also, you mentioned him being bossy and not helpful. I see he offered different ways to detox. In what ways were they worse than how you do things? I'm assuming he asked you to do something differently from how you are doing things now. What did you not like about what he said?

He recommended seeing my doctor daily doctor is not interested. He gives me a bottle of valium and sends me home. That's it in a nutshell

So as I understand it, you went to outpatient and he said 'See your doctor daily.'

You then went to your doctor with this advice from outpatient and he said 'I'm not interested. Here is some more Valium.' And sent you on your way.

Or did outpatient say 'See your doctor daily' and instead of seeing the doctor, you have just assumed he won't be interested and therefore have not been to see him?

Hi Sweeti,

I’m glad you have an assessment Monday. I really hope they’re able to admit you to rehab.

Stick close this weekend.

Hey Sweeti,

Is there something else you wish your dr was doing? I ask only because of what you wrote above, about how the center said to go to the dr every day and the dr isn’t interested in that, and just sends you off with Valium. Have you addressed that with the dr?

I am taking a rest from this site. I am too honest and people just use it to bash me over the head. All the encouragement people have now vanished except for Delilah and Ayers. Get over your obsession with my valium usage.
