I believe you can do this Bob.

It was a source of great satisfaction to me to act like an adult and not like some teen boy sneaking drinks, y'know?

I dunno Bob - I think I was ready to move on from past trauma, so that kind of 'rim to adult up' thinking worked for me.

I'm sure you can find your own way too

Day 20, had a why does anything matter yesterday. Probably going to the hospital to see my friend who is in the ICU with a ventilator triggered me a bit. Place smelled like death. Very uplifting I know but I feel in general people act like they care about people but legit care 0. Not in a good mood today but at least I am not drinking!

How's it going bob?

Good on you for not drinking Newbeginning.

Day 5 finishing up here. Had a much better day than yesterday. Why is it that when you have a bad day and feel so down you think every day will be like that. I have to condition and train myself that just because I have 1 bad day doesnt mean every day will be like that.No matter how many times it happens when Im in a bad day/depressed there seems no way out. Hoping it will improve.

good night all.

New beginning- my heart goes out to you. I hope your friend is able to recover, they’ll know you cared.

Bobdrop- hello hello howd it go? Sorry feeling silly

kremlin- yes lets definitely make June better. Its been too long since I’ve had a whole month sober, happy, and not in denial. It’s time to accept and honor my bodies limitations.

im trying not to fall asleep at my desk lol. Be back later

congrats strawberry

Just a reminder that at the end of this month this thread will move to the Daily Support Forum.

We do this to make room for the new Class Of June 2019 thread.

Apart from the forum, nothing else will change

Day 13 wrapping up. I will wake up to 2 full weeks of being happily sober! This time the small milestones mean everything. I’ve decided to make my books, on recovery, longevity, health, and casual but interesting reads my official bedside reading pile. And my more serious, work related nonfiction my gym and downtime reading pile!

night all

Congrats on your month strawberry and 2 weeks LLG

I woke in the early hours and my first feeling was utter relief that I was sober. Love that feeling.

Hi class

Can't believe it's the 31st may already. This is the first time I have made it sober through all the classes I have joined in the past (and that's a few!!)

Congrats to everyone finishing May sober.

What a great feeling

Have a fab Friday

Work for me until 8pm so will check in later

Day 21 pretty angry at the world in general on bright side it is anger that will keep me sober not lead me back to drinking. I am grateful for the fact I finally have enough mental power to get myself on track in life but it is a very emotionally painful process. Bring on the pain!

Made it! This will be my last monthly stop and will be heading toward the weekenders after.

Sorry I couldn't catch up as often lately and discuss.

Congrats to all on your progress, journey and efforts. I still got some cravings and work to do, but at least the alcohol part is going well. Day 45 or 46, still early, but I couldn't have done it without SR and you all. It really reaffirmed my commitment to the cause along the way.

The Raptors won. The tickets were selling even at over $70K for a pair. Only in Toronto.

The dental hygienist told me genuinely that I was a nice person, I haven't had a compliment for a while and it really felt nice. I mean, I knew it, but to be told by someone else was very warming, like it doesn't go unnoticed. Much better to a superficial compliment or congrats on my sobriety cuz the latter, to me, is just normal and I wish I had been for years ago.

Cheers!
