So the unofficial kickoff to summer has commenced! Great weather in the forecast for the DC area to boot. This weekend has had some pretty ****** memories for the past two years due in part to alcohol, and I'm really feeling the triggering sting from them right now. I'll deal with it - I'd rather feel cringy discomfort than numb it away.

Beautiful flowers Venus! Quite a green thumb you have there.

Thank you....I do indeed have a very green thumb.....inherited from both my grandmother (paternal) and my mum....it is a lovely gift to have been blessed with. I am meeting so many new people because they stop and look and we chat, and new friendships are made.

I am so sorry that this is a hard time for you ~ I really get it. But yo don't have to deal with it by yourself love....we are here....all of the time.....so if it gets too cringy, come chat. We will have iced coffee and hugs. Maybe some funnies and a bit of music....

20 MONTHS, AMAZING!!!
Every month on the 24th I am just amazed that I made it another month.
I have gone through so much in the past 20 months. SO much ish to drink about or over but I choose sobriety EVERY SINGLE DAY. All the ish has made me stronger, my relationship stronger and my sobriety that much stronger. I have wanted to give up (not on sobriety) just give up on life (not suicidal), just throw my hands in the air and say F it! However, that is when I reach for GOD and pray a little more, a little harder, take out my journal and write every single thing I am thankful for no matter how big or small. There is so much to be grateful and thankful for, there is so much to live for, there is NOTHING to drink over.
