Very difficult couple of months—hardest of my life. Things are improving, slow and steady. My father was discharged to home from rehab with 24/7 home care, and my mother was discharged from hospital today to rehab. She spent almost 3 weeks in intensive care. She survived! We really didn’t know that she would. many details and nearly non-stop texts, visits, emails, phone calls and our fears and emotions running high. I have been working full time for the last week as I’ve burned up my paid time off. It will be ok, I will work that out and get rested somehow, eventually. I need to be still and have faith. Things are getting better and the rest will follow. Just trying to hang on. I have not wanted to drink. Just saying a prayer for everyone here. We can get through anything sober.
