24 Hour Recovery Connections Part 443
Something different this morning, this video is just over a minute
and if you sit quietly and listen to the birds, the water and
feel the breeze, it will help you find peace to begin your day.
May your day be filled with beauty and peace and the songs of nature.

Good morning and another 24 of freedom on the docket.
Such peaceful, wise thoughts shared on this thread. And that waterfall sound defines relaxation!
Thank you for your kind words as always Venus.
Great day to all.

Sometimes there are no pics online to go with abcowboy's lovely quotes, so I try to make one from scratch, but I am not great at that yet.... So I look for a recovery quote that follows cowboy's awesome finds....just in case anyone is wondering... s

Wow! Yukonm, 11 years and 9 months!!! That is AMAZING. If your sober time was a person, it would be a proper tween now.... fast approaching the teenage years. Congratulations to you and to Formeforthem xx
I've noticed something different about myself. So, this summer I've booked a family holiday for us to go to Mexico. Can. Not. Wait. I've been paying for the holiday in monthly instalments for the last 16 months and counting down the days and now, guess what? The holiday company that I booked with.... one of the biggest and most established holiday companies in the UK, well.... it's in trouble. It's still trading but it's share price is dropping. It might go under. Hopefully it won't go bust. But it might.
Two years ago, this would have been me...…
Why do these things always happen to me?? It's not fair. I work so hard. Why oh why?? doom gloom. It's a catastrophe. Nothing ever goes well for me. Everyone else sails through life. I always have problems. This is a disaster. Summer is ruined. The rest of the year is ruined. I'm so miserable. My life is a disaster.
This is me now.....
Really hope that company doesn't go bust. Would be an awful shame, especially for all the people who will lose their jobs. I'll check out the situation to see where I stand about getting my money back if the worst happens but hopefully it won't happen. If we do lose our holiday, we could always go to the south coast of England for a few days instead. Might be lucky with the weather and even if it rains, there's always something to do by the seaside. And the advantage of staying in the UK is that the dog can come with us. Mexico isn't going anywhere. If we don't get to go this summer, we'll go another time. No point worrying about it. It's out of my control.
In case I don't say it enough.... EVERYTHING is better now I'm sober. Everything. My brain works differently now. Or maybe it just works like it should now. I will never ever regret my decision to stop drinking. Best decision ever. Love to everyone and 24 more for me please xxxxx

Afternoon all. Its 3.30 pm here in the UK. Please count me in for another 24 hours sober and clean. Congratulations to those celebrating a milestone, my thoughts and prayers go out to those suffering and struggling.
24. Mother is hanging on to life, today. Trying to stay in the day and stay in hope. She proved the doctors wrong Saturday night, Sunday and Monday. It’s an incredibly wonderful surprise. Enjoying each moment with her—we really don’t know how long she has. There are always outliers when considering statistical outcomes and she somehow managed to be one! I am at work today—very grateful. I’ll go check on her later. We watched a little house and garden tv together yesterday though she isn’t able to eat, drink or sit up. can barely process anything. She knew who I was, could say a few words..and smiled at me. The doctors and nurses are thrilled and we all shared in the joy of beating incredible odds.
Just day to day..it’s really all we have anyway despite our plans and false semblances of security .
Today I choose 24 more hours of sobriety and actually being there for my loved ones. Thank you so much for all of your prayers, thoughts and support.
