One Year & Over Part 68
Morning Overs
I’m a lot better this morning, thanks for your concern, I really appreciate it. A bit of a dull head but bearable,
A lovely quiet morning here, I really don’t think I’d like to live near the hustle and bustle of a town anymore. It’s the quiet life for me.
Have a great Sunday my friends.

Hi guys - haven't popped on here for a little while! I have just been very busy with work.... and work will continue to be very, very busy.... a colleague / former colleague who I have worked with for the last 16+ years, moved to another firm, met me for coffee, and then promptly offered me a permanent position, which I have accepted!
Long gone are the days that I would have remained loyal to the last minute in a current work situation that has no guarantee of longevity. I have to thank sobriety and being much more grown up than I used to be for this to have happened. Without a doubt, -none- of this would have happened to me without sobriety.
Thanks to the Overs for letting me pop in and out whenever I can - sorry I haven't read all your posts to catch up on how you all are - but I hope you are all doing as well as you possibly can be

FG, that’s great news! I enjoy the pop-in visits to hear how you and others are doing just as I enjoy those who post every day. We each do what works for us and that’s all good
PJ, how are you doing?
Hi to all and have a lovely day!

Hi to all and have a lovely day!
Congrats FG- do not over work yourself.
I am fine, Sassy- my hand copped another infection, but the inflammation gone way done with AB's. I have to wear a custom glove- with silicon lining and a leather buddy strap so the little finger reshapes itself after all the scarred finger meat was cut out. All good.

Glad to see you are making slow but steady progress PJ.
Mags, I hope you can finally kick this plague that has been keeping you down.
Nice work getting the book off to the printers FBL. Do you know what your next research project will be? By the way, I truly miss the humor of Tim Conway. He always made me smile without ever having to resort to colorful language or low brow tactics that so many of today's comics have to rely upon. He always seemed to elevate others when he performed with them.
FG, that's great jumping on the new job opportunity. Gaining self confidence is a huge benefit of not drinking.
Have a good day all!

I have 3 more book projects lined up. Each will cover a different year: 1958, 1959 and 1960/61. I'm all alone at the office this week, so I won't get started on them until next week at the soonest.
Cool weather here the next couple of days, but it should warm up by Wednesday.
Have a Marvelous Monday, overs!

PJ, yes, you can now tell people to “talk to the glove” . Glad to hear recovery is going well.
FBL, happy to hear you will be staying busy and therefore hopefully out of trouble with those projects :-)
Have a good Monday to all.

Itch, bet you're not used to the snow this time of year!
Today is my Mom's 82nd Birthday. That's her with her sons (me on the left) in my current avi. So grateful that she's still with us and in relatively good health.
Have a Terrific Tuesday, overs!
