Thanks guys!
It is what it is. The weather here has been sunny all the time we've been here. The wind can get very gusty here.we are turning bronze because of the altitude. The sun has less atmosphere before hitting us.

Thanks Andy.

PJ, yep thanks.

Sassy and Toots,
Yeah, you are right.

Star,
However, they broke more valuables in this move than all seven military moves, including to and from Germany!

Action,
I'm a 30% disabled vet, and glad to hear things are serendipitous for you and the kiddo. Great benefits, enjoy - you earned them!!

Late guys, gotta rack. We are not adapted to the lower oxygen yet and look like we are in our 90s with all the breaks we take for hard work. I find my muscles give out very fast here. Now I go home next week and lose what little I have accomplished and start over. I'm craving oxygen and am going to oxygen relapse when I'm back in the South. Last drive with the truck, it will be sold and I'll drive the new Forester back.

Morning Overs

Itchy, will it take long to acclimatise to the lower oxygen? I see where athletes and walkers have to adjust if climbing mountains.

A bit misty outside today, forecast is a bit cooler but hubby got chance to cut the grass yesterday.

Have a good Thursday my friends.

Looks like I'm on track to get the book off to the printer by tomorrow (Friday). The boss has looked it all over and given his approval. My co-worker is leaving a day early, so it's just me at the office for the next 10 days.

Have a Thunderous Thursday, overs!

FBL, that’s great!

Action, it’s good to hear about your experiences with help with disability. We too often hear the negative stories about some who take advantage of disability so your story is an excellent reminder that disability funds and services are often used to help people who truly deserve it.

Itchy, sounds like you will have some challenges with the changes in your domicile but that it will be worth it.

Have a good day to all

Good morning overs or I should say good evening
Thank you for the kind words, after I posted I felt like I probably should not have. Life not working has not been easy, there's a large part of your identity lost when you're not a productive member of society. My ability to work was a target for my exwife also making it even more defacult.

But today was another wonderful day with the aid of a woman who decided that I needed a little extra help. This has happened more times than I can count over the last four years. I realize there doing there job but there jobs have rules and it often seams someone's going the extra mile for me. I Express my feelings of gratitude and dismay, having been told one thing only to be told to disregard it, this is what we are going to do.

I can't help but feel that women needs to know that she is part of a healing process in me or at least a thank you, something.

Thanks again for the words, I realise I am rapped up in my world at this moment but have a great day tomorrow I'm going to call someone who is becoming special to me.

Morning Overs

Feeling good this morning after my debilitating headaches has dispersed, thank goodness, as my mum would say. Mr.Mags said I was grumpy...I just wanted peace and quiet and to be left alone...not go for a nice walk.

Have a good Friday my friends.

Glad you are feeling better Mags and I too like to be left in peace when unwell.

Action, when I gave up the home I had run for 12 years, I really struggled with the loss of my identity, my work was my life in so many ways, so I can truly relate. I still struggle with calling myself retired, as in my mid fifties I'm sure people think I sponge off my husband! Fact is my job brought in a fraction of his pay, and in the end what I saved us in tradesmen doing home and garden work myself, more than made up for my lost income!

Mags, glad your headache is gone.

Action, I am glad you have some understanding and helpful people in your life. When I came close to being on disability over 20 years ago I was very scared. I was fortunate to unexpectedly recover. When I retired, that felt somehow “wrong” at first but now I appreciate it greatly. I am finally relaxing into the fact that I can’t do much that I used to and it’s ok :-)

Have a good day, Overs!

Morning Overs

Hope everyone is doing ok?

Feeling a bit out of sorts this morning, still have a virus or something that I think caused the bad headache earlier in the week, now it’s a sore throat and a dull headache.
Out comes the hot water with honey and slices of lemon.

Have a great weekend my friends

Hope you get to feeling better soon, dear Mags.

Got the book shipped off to the printer yesterday. Was finding some typos right until I put the PDFs on the jump drive. Comes a point I just have to let it go and hope for the best! Our books have literally millions of data points, so something small is bound to slip thru. The perfectionist in me is finally starting to learn to live with it...I think!

Looks like a rainy weekend here. Will decompress and get ready for a week of holding down the office on my own.

Have a great weekend, overs!
