Hi MITA

They were a little bit before my time but yeah everyone knows Skyhooks

I think Countdown vids are usually PG friendly Suze

I am still playing guys, tho not very often right now.

Its a blues trio, I play bass - but I had some back issues, and the other two guys in the band are working hard on their day jobs

we should be back in harness in the second half of the year

Continued prayers Bobbie.

Hey Dee! That just made me think of ABR (Shannon's Blues/Rock band) and I heard their singer is moving on to another project....maybe they need someone to take his place! How cool would that be ~ a little bit of a commute, though

Interesting about Skyhooks. Definitely a fringe artist here in the U.S. back in the mid-late 1970's or so.

Glad to hear you are still playing Dee - maybe someday you will have a YouTube channel I hope so!!

After all the music talk, I was the feeling the need to fill in some glaring gaps in my vinyl collection, so today I bought Led Zeppelin IV, Beatles "Rubber Soul" and Tom Waits"Heart Attack and Vine". I've got the Zeppelin album on now. It's a good day.

BBG, been missing your starting' fluid check-ins the last couple of days. Hope all is well

Led Zep are the bomb.

Skyhooks were very big in little Australia. They, at the peak of their fame, won a lucrative recording contract in the US, worth 1 or 2million dollars. The lead singer a guy, 'Shirley Straun', many year after- did home reno shows on tele (he was a chippie), and died young, while learning to fly a helicopter- it crashed.

I think you need to do something more for your recovery than whatever you've been doing BBG.

I really hope you can work out what that is man.

A long, hard, productive, bittersweet day where I have looked at stuff from my past- and how a the dawn of a more honest and 'mature' perception of viewing the world. There a small vignettes in my past- that were good, happy memories. Mainly from wife/kids- very few with foo, but that I suppose makes those memories al the more important to remember.

Harm and damage- if I return such things to others because they were done to me, I am no better than them. If I do not forgive them, I will not forgive myself- then I will not grow- but be trapped in a horrible present- lived in the past....tainting the future. Which will not happen.

Also got a lot of productive stuff done- car servicing stuff, bills etc.
Have a good day folks (or evening).

I have a very sad confession.....gulp....I accidentally left the 80s box version....records....90% untouched.....of The Beatles Collection in Melbourne.

Also two AA Milnes form 1957....sigh......what an idiot.

Happy Friday gang, and glad you are back on track BBG !!

Checking in here every morning is always a good thing. It seems we mostly operate at a casual and kind of high level (there are exceptions, of course -PJ’s latest post for example) but don’t be bashful about bringing your troubles, or concerns, or thoughts (I need to be better about this too). We’ll help if we can, but often just getting those things out in the open is a game changer.

I hope everyone has an awesome day. We deserve it. Each and every one of us!!

He might already. We would never really know, would we?

Phoenix - that's deep stuff. Good to see you are ending the cycle of your foo. That's a big deal. Forgiving yourself is too. You deserve it. You were working with the best you had at that time. Now you know better - so you are doing better.

Good to see you, BBG. Always here for you.

Suze - that would totally suck to leave that stuff across the world. My heart hurts for the A.A. Milne.

Purps - Hey!

Heading to Wisconsin this afternoon to hang with my sister. Have a great weekend everyone.

Don't drink. It's dumb.
