"Alcohol ruined me financially and morally, broke my heart and the hearts of too many others. Even though it did this to me and it almost killed me and I haven't touched a drop of it in seventeen years, sometimes I wonder if I could get away with drinking some now. I totally subscribe to the notion that alcoholism is a mental illness because thinking like that is clearly insane." - Craig Ferguson[/B]

5:40am in Alberta, another 24 for me please, and thanks...

Today is going to be a darn good day not to drink!

As Daisybelle said, it does get easier in time. Hoping your good memories bring you comfort.

I'm so sorry Mike. Sundays were the toughest day for me too after my dad died. I used to spend Sunday afternoons at the hospital and then at the hospice with him and after he died, I didn't know what to do with my Sunday afternoons. Time and sobriety allowed Sundays to gradually develop a new rythmn and routine. It sounds like you had a great family day .... But of course when it hurts it hurts. Thinking of you and sending loads of love.

Congratulations to everyone celebrating a milestone today and 24 more for me please xxxx

6:52 am in California and checking in for another 24 before beginning the work week. It was a very busy, but fun filled weekend with kids sports, and celebrating my MIL birthday.

Congrats to all celebrating a milestone, have a great start to the week everyone!!!
