24 Hour Recovery Connections Part 431
No working again
God, grant me
the serenity to accept another snow storm,
The courage to drive in the snow
And the
Wisdom to know when to stay home.
Another 24 hrs of sobriety and drug addiction freedom.

Chaisson ~ 100 days! ♥
goose333 ~ 1 year & 6 months!! ♥
BarbieKen ~ 6 years & 3 months! ♥
I did go to bed at 2030 and woke up a couple times 2330 and 0330 before the alarm went off at 0430. Now it's 1033 and i'm going down for a nap after eating cheesy rice...cheese omelet and 2 toast this morning...All Things Cheese here in Wisconsin. Coffee, diet soda, lite drink mix. I like military time it's easier to type. Sober and clean from nicotine and illicit drugs

Hi everyone. Not feeling my best today but I wanted to check in.
Grateful to be sober and grateful that I have been given the chance to work with some women from OA. I am not abstinent today. After losing it on my kids (snow day over here) I burst out into tears and grabbed whatever I could shovel into my face.
Going to a move in a little bit- it always helps me get out of my own head.
Lots of love to you all and congrats to our milestoners

Wow Kenton! I agree with Suze. You deserve a medal for that! That’s what I aspire to, equanimity. It’s the definition of it: calmness and composure, especially in a difficult situation.
Wow! You’re an inspiration, truly ❤️
Suze I really hope you’re feeling better soon. I’ve been thinking about you.
I’ve escaped from the awful flooding and mess where I live for a week, and am back in my hometown for a visit with family. It’s soooo peaceful here. It’s the first time I’ve been back home since my parents funerals that were now a crazy 6 months ago (I cannot believe it’s 6 months, it’s still so fresh and raw in my memory). It’s bittersweet being here, because it brings home to me again, the reality that my parents are gone from this world and they’ve left such big holes, but it’s also very comforting to be here. The sights and smells and sounds of my childhood are just soooo comforting and precious, I can hardly begin to describe then, but I’ll try.
The grassy paddocks, golden grass gently rippling in the breeze, the majestic gum trees, wattle, and so many native trees I don’t know their names, magpies carolling in the trees, and all manner of other birds, ***** nuts and gum leaves everywhere on the ground, crackling under foot, the blue blue sky, and oh the unique smell of the Australian bush! It’s just divine ❤️ and it’s so very peaceful out here, and I think it’s just what I need, to be here now, to heal a little more ❤️
24 more please
