Class of November 2018 Part 5
I never really thought about in terms of "sugar", but I've been on an ice cream binge since quitting alcohol too. Seems to be my go to in the evenings winding down.

I got my MRI results and they were not great. I may need surgery. I have to spend the next 3 weeks putting no weight on my foot. I have to ice it 5 times a day and wear the boot the rest of the time. I am getting crutches today and hopefully a knee scooter soon.
I have been getting irritated that I have not been able to get any exercise. When I get the knee scooter I plan to go to the gym by my house and scoot around the indoor track. I think that will help me mentally.

Thanks for the update. Sorry you didn't get better news.
I never heard of a knee scooter so had to look it up. It looks pretty useful and should improve your situation a little. Being able to exercise even a if restricted will hopefully give you some relief from stress.
Maybe all the icing will wean you off the ice cream, or better still you could buy a gigantic tub of Ben n Jerrys plunge in your foot and eat at the same time. Perfect.
Hope things get better soon.

Hello all. Just wanted to drop in and say hello. I haven't been able to post in quite a while, but wanted to let you know I'm still sober and still chugging along. My big date with the court system is on the 19th. Very large range of things can happen, most of them not very good. Its really great to see some of the same people still here and still working sobriety. Hope you all have a great day.
Hey dafunbra
I am so pleased you checked in and great news that you are still sober.
Sorry to hear that the legal stuff is looming, I hoped it would be done with by now.
Stay in touch as and when you can.
All the best for the 19th.

First time logging on in a few weeks. Just finished up a long road trip, 2nd one sober, but first one being this long on the road. It was good. Stayed strong, yet a few times I got down on myself.
Dafunbra, great to hear from you! Best wishes and stay strong. You seem to have positive attitude towards things and that goes a long way.
Hope everyone else is doing great. Stay sober!

Dafunbra - I sincerely hope everything works out ok at court.
Glad to hear everyone else is doing well and staying sober.
Things are good in my world. After 3 weeks of crutches and using a knee scooter I found out my Achilles is healing ok on its own. I will not require surgery. I need to wear the boot for 3 more weeks but I am allowed to walk in it a little bit at least.
