Me, too. Me, too! I want to know.

I am sorry that you missed the moon. It was GORGEOUS.

Congrats to today’s celebrants and all who are sober today!

Thanks for the words of support yesterday. It meant a lot. I’m having a real hard time with the loss of my dog right now. For the last five years the two of us were inseparable. She was at my side all the time except for a few short hours every month when I went to town to go shopping. I’ve lost a huge part of who I am. I’m not going to drink over it though. She was one of the reasons I’ve been trying to get and remain sober.

Let’s all have a sober day!
Sending you more love, my friend.

Today is going to be a darn good day not to drink!
Thank you, abcowboy! And another darn good day, indeed

DAY 15 begins....

Yesterday was rough , I had a doctors appointment in town drove all that way only to find that the doctor wasn't coming on for the day. Took my dear Mum shopping we enjoyed that then I pulled a muscle putting the groceries in the car I could hardly sit in the car seat to drive home. Today I can barely move . ok that's enough whinging from me.

7.24 am in Auss.

Another 24 for me please. Feeling a bit sad and blah this morning but I know it will pass. I think I’m possibly learning to accept my emotions and allow them to be here in me without trying to suppress them or change them. I know they are necessary and that I need to really FEEL and let them come (especially the lingering waves of grief at the moment) and know that the emotions are just visitors and they won’t stay with me forever.

I’m allowing myself to just take small steps to improve my mood and lift my spirits. Like get some fresh air especially, go for a walk, look at the flowers in the garden, search for butterflies.

And when I’m feeling totally unmotivated to do anything, just do one constructive/productive thing each day. Like wash the sheets, or clean the windows, or organise my paperwork/laptop or make that phone call I’ve been putting off... etc. Baby steps and I’ll get there, one day at a time.
Love and support to you all

Jsm - I'm late to comment, but want to say I understand about the loss of your baby. We had our Jackpot (a Lab) put to sleep a month ago. It's a pain like no other. Very hard to explain to those who haven't experienced it. I'm thinking of you.

Quitter - Boxer baby Charlie is precious. What a doll.

Need another 24 please.

Ah Jsm,

So sorry to hear about your beautiful pup. We are blessed to have had those we love in our lives and never to be forgotten. I miss my yeller feller most everyday. Two days ago I went through the car wash alone and remembered how much fun it was for hubby and I to watch how excited our pup got thinking the car wash was a carnival ride. He loved it. Miss the both of them. Sending you a big ole hug.

Another beautiful dog in our lives. They will live forever though.

My hubby had a printout in the garage that says, I hope I am as good a person as my dog thinks I am.

We'll just have to prove it to them with our sobriety.

We're heading home a day early from our ski weekend All 3 of us had equipment malfunctions, which is unfortunate, because I've really enjoyed getting to hang out with my "adult" grands. I must plan more time to spend with my oldest. The younger one lives with me so we see each other daily.

Well, I better get packing.

Hoping everyone has a wonderful day! Hugs
Happy to see you back Op!
