Morning Overs

FBL, pleased you’re making progress, that great news! You’ll soon be able to go hunting for soccer cards again!

I bought some wool and knitting needles yesterday, I haven’t knitted for about 50 years from when I was at school (and then not very well) but I wanted to make some snoods and do something with my hands and brain on days I can’t go far. Anything I’m not sure about they have a video on YouTube to help! I’d love to make a sampler too, but first things first.

(Never thought I’d hear myself saying I’m going to knit! It wasn’t that long ago when I never sat still, dashing about everywhere! )

As long as the gas bubble remains, I still won't be able to see much out of the right eye. It could be several weeks yet before the bubble is fully absorbed. It just takes time and patience. I trust my doctor knows best.

I really want to knit again....I loved knitting.....my mum was incredible (and dad too) and they taught me, but there is a problem. Something to do with me being left-handed, and my mum kept telling me off for knitting into the back of the stitch.....I couldn't help it.....it worked, it just looked a bit different than hers....

I think it's wonderful love: now what are you making us.

Hiya Overs! My partner / housemate is away for a long weekend to visit his son & daughter-in-law, and his mum has just gone through a hip replacement operation (discharged from hospital after 5 days - and she's nearly 88!), so I'm a little on high alert for any calls for help , although I am struggling to launch myself off the sofa today, after a long week at work....

I continue to be ever more grateful for sobriety, which is a wonderful thing. I hope everyone is as well as they can be.

My eye surgeon suspected I had a retina detached after my cataract surgeries and the specialist's specialist cleared me with an exam and multiple tests. I was seeing flashes out of the corner of my eye.

Just knit! Your mum and dad are far away. Being different makes some things all the more valuable. Look at Picasso's work. Man, he couldn't paint according to some. Besides since it will be consistent it will look custom made.

I sold the Scamp RV for asking price today! Now to advertise the other two cars and truck, tractor, and all the tools for which we won't have a place.

I now have to start on the workshop and start to organize and sort.

Suze, I’m just going to find my feet with knitting, just start with a snood (a small round scarf with no end, in fact a circle!) I’m really only doing it as I couldn’t find what I wanted in the shops, as in all longer than what I wanted! I hope you start, I feel you have a very artistic side to your nature. xx

Gosh, I dreamt I was pregnant, last night! Where the heck did that come from.

I hope all are OK despite the winter storms up north and the rain storms/tornadoes in the south. 50°here with rain. Our new hometown, Colorado Springs, got hammered today!

We just played on the computers, and I started going through all my 30 odd 3.5" & 2.5" hard drives to erase or catalogue what is on them.

Lazy day - Sober!
