Hi, November 2013ers...I hope you guys are doing well.
Another year has come and gone. It is hard to believe this is 5 years sober.. an easier and better life and I want to mark it here...,
where I learnt so much and had so much support that I needed in the first few years!

Thank you Gilmer, that is so sweet, and you made me smile from ear to ear.
It is kinda remarkable to have 5 years!.
I used to quit every second day and getting sober seemed insurmountable.
I was just so miserable, my hangovers would wake me up somewhere between 3 and 5 in the morning and unless I took something to get back to sleep I would anxiously lay there trying to sleep and full of dread about my life and the hard days work ahead of me.
Now, I feel so overwhelmingly grateful!
It really is lovely being sober.
It is kinda remarkable to have 5 years!.

Congratulations Gilmer, It is so wonderful, 5 years is certainly remarkable!
Looking through your posts you are such an awesome mentor to many here.
How do you feel? How do 5 years feel to you? For me, it is amazing, special, extra special, haha.

The other anniversaries have been great, and I've been pleased, grateful, and proud to have achieved them; but the big 5 is the one I've been waiting for.
I'm thrilled that I made it! I knew I wasn't likely to drink in the days leading up to it--I just thought that the big day would never get here! The last few months have seemed to drag in anticipation!
But now--voila!
Thank you to my HP for making it all possible and steering me always back to the straight and narrow.

Congratulations to us all, it is a good achievement.
I shake my head and am so grateful to be sober.
5 years is so good, I know I am repeating myself but it is so good.
