Thank you for being a good friend Kathy. Your help with my first manuscript was invaluable and I was proud to credit you in the acknowledgments. You became a real friend at that time, and we shared a closeness that helped us both through our first sober year.

Rest in peace, dear Kathy. Thank you for all the love, light and laughter you so unselfishly shared with us.
I'd like to think that you are now hanging out with Carol, Robbie and some of our other SR friends that have shuffled off this mortal coil.
No one that is fondly remembered ever truly dies.

I lay awake half of the night going over conversations with her in my head....hysterical conversations....and I could hear her laughing so loud in my mind....and I am in my kitchen right now and I can see the three lovely cards she sent me as I was going through my scary immigration medical.....every day another one arrived with a message to get me to the next part.
God most definitely got one incredible angel yesterday.

You can never really be prepared for when it happens, can you. Thank you, Dee, for sharing the news. My heart is broken. She gave me such comfort in her last message to me. She will be so so missed.

Kathy was so kind and accepting. She could always be relied on to say something supportive, no matter the situation someone found themselves in. Her openness and commitment to fellowship here on SR helped me and so many others, as evidenced by this amazing thread.

PJ, my favorite cigar is a Davidoff 2000 tubo (encased in a white metal tube).
My usual (cheaper) smoke is a Camacho, either yellow, orange, or red label (depending on the strength you like). I typically smoke the orange.
I like a medium-large ring gauge and either a robusto or Churchill length.

I am so sorry for your family. May they find comfort and peace that you no longer suffer.
