I’m lucky Mags. No prepping for me.:-)

Thanks Crois :-)

Suze, I’ve lost it quite easily as I have just learnt to not eat unless I’m hungry.

I usually eat way too much when I’m drinking & when I stop. But not this time. I’m drinking lots of lemon water, no sugar, cut down on my iced coffee. I allow myself 1 a day.

Shaun bought me a box of Ferraro rocher choccies . So I have 2 of those after dinner each night. Little treat.
Plus more fruit.

I feel bettter inside as well as outside.

There’s definitely nothing pretty about drinking. The worst of it being bloated through all the toxins. Quite disgusting really.

I think I’ll make some fruit mince pies to take over to Mums. My ex Mum in law used to make them. She was such a good cook.

I’m watching a box set called sharp objects, the lead character is Amy Adams. She’s an alcohlic and a cutter.
I didn’t know that before I started watching. When she drinks the vodka it makes me feel like puking .......

Have a great weekend everyone

If you are reading Ladybug and Pete , it would be a great Christmas present for us if you popped in to say hi xx

Lulu, Leshar still pops in to read posts. She send me such a lovely one before I went in to detox

So whatever you feel like adding, she will see it .

Bless you all xoxo

Can we imagine what Christmas traditions would be- if fate had made the little baby Jesus be born in Central Australia- on a 40C day in summer.
Snow would be replaced with red dust
The guys with the Camels- Burke and Wills (2 tragic explorers)
Of course- Kangaroos, no Reindeer.
Santa? Probably Steve Irwin (National treasure)
No animal shelter and a manger- a Shearing Shed and a horse trough

Couldn't Humphrey be Santa? He will live on forever whereas Steve Irwin not so much. Sorry, I wasn't a fan.

Suze love, who’s Humphrey? I looked it up and got, a cat who resided at 10 Downing Street, a town in Nebraska, Humphrey Bogart? please relieve me with the right answer. Though I imagine Humphrey Bogart would make a good Santa.

“Here’s looking at ya, kid”

Snoozy love , I’d like some of your positivity to cut down on my eating please. I can’t stop! lol.

Have a wonderful Sunday my friends

Suzanne, do you know my go-to motto?

I’m not always witty or quick on my feet, but I never fail to get satisfaction with “KISS MY FAT ASS!”

(Sorry to suggest it twice in a single weekend, Dee).

No one is kissing my butt here, Kathy (but they jolly well should be!!!) ....I’m hanging out to see my eldest and youngest tomorrow. To feel like me.

Suze, are you OK?

I don’t mean to make light of your consternation, Suze. Sometimes turning pain and anger to the absurd just upends me and I can avert the emotional danger in my moods.

You actually helped me a lot love....made me realise I don't need to apologise for the way I feel....not that I am going to actually be a grinch, but I don't have to be all la la Christmas either, and if anyone doesn't like it, well then my friend told me what to say to them. ♥♥

Sorry CW....just saw your post....

Better now....I am over myself.

Hey Suze - same thing I said to Kathy. You do you, girl.xx

I think being able to post on SR is my saving grace this Christmas, seriously. I actually removed myself from a situation and ‘silent screamed’ with my hands up in the air today just to get some angst out.
In hindsight, I must have looked hysterical. But that is the beauty of the ‘silent scream of angst’....no evidence, but you have the pleasure of knowing you told someone off. Albeit silently. But a virtual “kiss my butt” does work very well. Hehe.

My watchword is turning the despairing into a humourous absurdity.
To curb anger- I imagine all of the angry thoughts running around my brain as being shouted at me by a tiny, hairy Monty Python Scotsman.
Mind- I get looks sometimes in the car when I let the inner Scotsman out.

Speaking of absurd- a reporter on a commercial news program just asked a reporter 'live' at the North Pole, given the Drone security scare at Gatwick airport, how is security ensuring Santa will have a safe trip?
Jeez.
