Free, all that mountain air is making you quite reflective, and that's wonderful. I sometimes take it for granted that I live in the high desert and overlook its beauty. Nature really does have a healing affect upon us.

My Mom had some very good news yesterday, she had her eye examination and will be able to drive for yet another year (before taking the exam again). She said she really needed that news, and I am very happy for her. Having that freedom means a lot to her, even though she is quite careful about when and where she motors herself along.

I get my phone back tomorrow, yay! I was able to get along pretty well without it, so I don't have that phone love relationship, but it sure makes things a lot more convenient. It feels nice to know that I can always be in touch if needed.

One more day of somber weather, rain and snow, tomorrow and then I will have some much needed sunshine to brighten my day. I don't really like having it gloomy around me now. I am feeling pretty much okay, but I do inherit some of the atmosphere around me.

Peace and a good day ahead of you.

So glad to hear that your jobs are filling in well for you, Willow. Sometimes it is hard to go back into the work flow, but it sounds like you are adapting well to a new schedule. I have a little bit of work to do on my days off this week, keeping track of some web registrations for a conference we are hosting next month, but I'm mostly using the time off for family right now.

I'm up to make a pot of coffee early and organize my thoughts for the day and tidy up my place before a home visit by the program people who can help me coordinate my health, mental, and addiction care long term. I was supposed to fast last night for blood work at my annual physical today but slipped up with a midnight snack last night, oops.

Oops, gotta love midnight snacks lol

I just realised itís 10 months since I had a drink!

Iíve been sorely tempted many times, but have managed to resist the sneaky and outright blatant AV attacks. Largely thanks to the support of you all here on SR thanks everyone

Hi-five to you, and a hug, Willow. Some months have flown by and others not so much, but the march forward continues. I was reading some posts by others who are really suffering right now, and it reminds me not to turn back.

Thanks Guener and Free
Yes reading about struggles in the early days is a good reminder why not to pick up a drink.... I sometimes re-read my own if I need a big reminder... I don’t want to go back to that awful hangover withdrawal cycle ever again, ughhh

We’re SO much better off sober

The AV just told me straight out that it would be perfectly ok (in fact it would be a really good idea) to drink on the upcoming long weekend when Iím away with my partner for a weekend of relaxation and going to a music festival! Noooooo! Itís NOT ok AV! Go away!

Crack that whip, Willow, and put that AV back in its place.

It just reminds me I have to remain vigilant against the AV. It would be too easy to get sucked in by its lies. Sometimes I feel myself getting sucked into the rose tinted glasses of drinking for fun, and I have to remind myself I can’t do that. I need to dig out my withdrawal diary.... I haven’t read it for a while ...

I wasn't paying much attention yesterday to the Ides of March being my 10 month date. Fitting enough, I got my driver's license reinstated yesterday, too. It is one nice way to celebrate being in recovery.

Hi everyone, hi Manta!

Congrats on both counts Guener! Congrats on 10 months!!!I didnít know on top of your stress you were dealing with no drivers license. Glad you have that privilege back.

Willow, so glad your squashing the AV

Iím not sleeping well lately, lots of worries.

New job is great, lots to learn. Think Iíll just get up and study instead of worry about it.

Iíve been romanticizing drinking also.

How do I get back to my earliest posts here?

It seems to stop loading after so many pages.

I agree willow, going back to read is a great reminder.

Blessings!
