Sounds like a fun weekend Kathy, with your family helping put up the decorations. Lots of fun, fun, fun, and maybe partaking of a cigar too!.

Hope you slept well, refreshed for a wonderful weekend, my friend.

Love and hugs to you Kathy, and your wonderful witty, intelligent, interesting and not forgetting hilarious, Gilmerites .

There are many ways to serve God (and the church) and spending family time decorating a Christmas Tree is one of them. It brings your family together to honour the birth of His son.

The church will do fine without you, it's nice that they want you and may miss you, but they will do fine. And so will you, with your family joining in another Christmas tradition.

And...you inspired my morning contribution of joy, Christmas trees that you may want to copy for your front room.

I just found out that my other two sons are coming for the weekend. My granddaughter is getting baptized on Sunday, and there's going to be a party.

I realized this when I woke up this morning.

Now all I want to do is hide. No cookies, no decorating, no nothing. I can't face any of this.

(((Kathy)))! When I feel overwhelmed, I have learned to pick one thing to do and then I start feeling better. I think your family will understand if you need to scale back

Just participate as much as you feel comfortable with Kathy. You don't need to impress anyone anymore.

Oh love....I should have read before I happy weekended.

Take a deep breath, and talk to your husband.....tell him it is too much for you. Perhaps your sons could just come tomorrow?

Sending you massive amounts of love.

Kathy, I’m sure your family understands when you need to ‘step back’ for a while.
Love and hugs.
