Class of March 2016 Part 74
Sometimes it turns into a great day. I guess today is National Kindness Day (had no idea it was a "day"). Someone, somewhat sincerely, asked me on FB if I started this day ...
"You guys have raised such kind kids and it seems like they’ve found some equally kind people to share their lives with. Thought maybe you started a movement 👍🏻"
I was just wondering why there is only one day for this.
National Kindness Day has moved ahead of National Coffee Day on my list of "days"

Well, I keep trying to get National Awesome day added, but so far, no luck. What a great compliment, MITA.
Hope everyone is doing well. Kind of sitting in my sadness over here. I'm okay though.
Have the best day, everyone!

Bobbie, I’ve found it pretty easy to sit in sadness lately too and I’m sorry you are or at least were there. Hugs to you.
Yesterday I stopped the cycle of sadness I knew was coming my way and went to work. I was up, I was dressed and interacting with people. Really helped. So, for now I decided to work for a few weeks until treatment starts. I think I’ll be having chemo, but not sure yet. They are still running genetic tests on the cancer...so I continue to wait and heal.
MITA, that was a nice compliment. Raising kind people is such a gift to the world.

Nite all,
Lill- we can do hard things, sad things, dealing with the past things. The strength is doing it with others- as you have just shown.
Like me, now- here. A beautiful day outside, only one session to go- sculpture tomorrow, and finishing off projects- ready for assessment week. So I have achieved my primary goal of finishing...but still the sadness and anxiety pervades. Stupid pervades.
A lot better than drinking.
Support to all.

Hard things indeed. I'm seriously having the mental conversation of quitting my job without a replacement. It's foolish and I won't do it, but damn it's been a while coming. To do this when recently sober is not recommended; to do this while still struggling with sobriety is insane.
I don't know what the future holds. I do know that it has be a future where drinking is no longer a coping mechanism or a considered option.

Mornin' Marchers. Up at my normal time this morning. No sleeping in. Got startin' fluid in hand and ready for the day.
We had the first frost that I've noticed this year. Gonna' be another cold and gloomy day. Not a drinking day though!

Hi Suze.
BBG- as your weather cools- ours is warming up. Apart from the fire risks (prayers to Calif), it is just an assumed these days it will also mean blackouts. The worst of these in late 2016- lasted about 12 hours. Most of the state was out at one time or another. I have recently bought myself a little gas camp stove- a/c I can do without- but COFFEE????? The same happens with water- so now keep enough water for 2 days worth of coffee handy
