Thanks, Vman! Thanks for trying, Fini! Dali can be very weird, but very good, too. Somewhere recently someone posted a picture of his “Person at the Window.” That’s what I really wanted to have, but the dimensions were wrong for the space. |

We have been to Figures a few times (practical when you live nearby) I also went to the Dali permanent expo in Bruges Belgium. He was pretty "authentic" see you later |

So Vinny! It was you who first posted “Person at the Window!” It must have been on the Weekenders’ thread! I’m glad you stepped forward, because I wanted to give credit to the one who posted such a magnificent piece! Thank you! And speaking of Bruges, has anybody ever seen the movie In Bruges, with Colin Farrell and Ralph Fiennes? Great dark humor movie! Directed by Martin McDonagh. Maybe I’ll rewatch that this morning. For lunch I plan to go out to IHOP with my younger daughter and almost 3–y-o grandson—whom I rarely see, even though we live fairly close. When the girls made up the “Letters to Mom” book, they had pages on which they asked the grandkids questions, and this one had practically nothing to say about me, because I spend the bulk of the time with the other three. The only distinct memory he has of me is that I went out for pancakes with him once—so, by golly, we’re going to do that today, too! That reminds me: I need to plan for her to take me plus the two grandson cousins out to a movie matinee. I’ve got three free passes, so it’s just a matter of scheduling. |
