After I get home from the mountains today, I need to hurry up and get packed for my Florida trip tomorrow!

I haven't packed a thing so far--I haven't even made the list yet! I've been procrastinating: too daunting!

What's to pack? 1 or 2 bathing suits, a couple pair of shorts, couple of tops, underwear, sweater or sweatshirt, comfortable walking shoes, maybe sandals or flip flops, sunhat, sunscreen, sunglasses, umbrella. .

So worth a listen...no matter what decade.

Plus, I grew up in Florida. Go for the SPF Sport 50. That bottle in the image looks more like nail polish remover. Don't put that on skin.

Warm, balmy, breezy. What's not to like? Travel safe.

GG, pack on the lighter side. It's hot and the sunrises and sunsets have been spectacular with just the right amount of clouds to add character and color. I'll wave to you on the other coast.

The only essentials: housekeys, credit cards, ID, and Rx. If husband is staying home -- skip the keys. Skip the umbrella. Be an optimist. If it rains, get wet and drip dry -- or buy one there and leave it. Consider not packing sunscreen. If you do, you have to check your bags. So you're lighter on board but have to wait around after landing at baggage claim. I bet you can buy sunscreen where you're staying or nearby.

SPF Sport 50, hell! I'm going with Banana Boat tanning oil SPF 4!

What's the worst that could happen?

I get melanoma?

Umm--been there, done that, got the metastasis!

(note to newcomers: I've got ocular melanoma that has already metastasized to my liver and brain). Not worried about skin melanoma at this late date!

I'm determined to go out with a tan!

...But the owies aren't fun.

Dat's what I'm sayin'.

If you insist on 4, then at least buy some calamine and aloe while you're at the drugstore! I know you already have industrial-strength painkillers. We used meat tenderizer for the Man O' War stings. Might want to get some of that too.

For the shark bites, I got nothin'.

When I was a kid, my skin on my back peeled off in one big sheet more than once. I cried all night many a night.

I will be gradual in my sun exposure—and as soon as I get down there I’ll pick up some aloe.

LOL! Yes, I guess you’re right. I want to be able to sit comfortably in a chair and enjoy the fine dining—and it would be nice to be able to sleep at night!

Vanity, thy name is woman!

Besides, I’m still scrubbing off last week’s peeling!
