A little icy COLD guy being sent out to our SR Family who are in the thick of it, with the heat wave.
And, I'll check in for my next 24. A good meeting this morning! Quite a number of people who had less than a month sober shared their ESH. And most of them in their 20's!! Such a powerful statement these "kids" make (at least to me). The Mom in me is so hopeful for the newest generation.

Good morning all. Last day in London today. It's been just great and we've been very lucky with total sunshine too!
Of course on my little head as well as having a brilliant time my silent victory over the demon booze has been a big highlight too. It's been everywhere! Sunshine and alcohol here are like fish and chips. They just go together. So to not even have any wistful thoughts has indeed felt great!
Delilah I'm sorry your procedure wasn't what you expected sweetheart. You're right of course we have to trust the docs but bless you it must have been very disappointing to say the least ❤❤❤
Lots of love to everyone I'll catch up properly when I get home tonight. 24 please! ❤❤❤

Thnaks Dee.
24 more for me and all.
Prayers and support to all
Had a very productive day doing my seasonal paper clean out. Anything in paper- that has not been touched for a few months- goes in the ground floor based round filing cabinet. Also getting ready for new studies- still sinking in.

1new I’m so sorry life has gone crazy. I pray for a wall of angels to surround you and keep fear from getting you. Do the next right thing honey and it will be well. I will keep you in my heart today.
I’m worrying round the edges of a couple of resentments after waking up from a vivid nightmare but I can’t say I’m really putting my back into it. I know better now. If I don’t want my current life I’ve got to put some work into changing it. And if it can’t be changed I’ll just have to accept it. Serenity! Easy Peasy.

Sending lots of love your way Delilah xxx
Glad you had a good day yesterday Jo, safe journey home later xxx
So, Orlando Bloom was fantastic in the play we watched last night 'Killer Joe'.... all the actors/actresses were incredible. I was spellbound. Perhaps the most enlightening part of the evening happened when we got home. My usual babysitters were all busy so I used one recommended by friends .... an 18 year old boy who lives nearby. As soon as he turned up yesterday, my sons were excited.... this babysitter is a black belt in judo and looks like a ninja. I got messages from my kids throughout the evening saying they were playing football/rugby/judo/racing .... there was a mini Olympics going on in my garden last night! When we got home, we started chatting to the babysitter.... he's just finished his A levels and is going to start a degree in physical education in September. He runs and swims and does triathlons and had the most incredible confidence and positive energy radiating from him. He then said that he's always been drawn towards a healthy lifestyle .... he eats a healthy diet and the most alcohol he's ever drunk is two sips of amoretto at Christmas because 'he quite likes the taste of almonds'. Other than that he doesn't drink. I listened to him and thought, 'this is someone entering adulthood with a strong sense of self.... he knows who he is .... he's not bowing to peer pressure, he's being himself'. I had such a strong sense that this kid is on the right track and is going to do well.
Made me think about 18 year-old-me. Staggering around drunk with zero sense of self. Then I thought about adulthood. If we're lucky, we get to be adults for a long time. Sure, it's ideal to enter adulthood with a strong sense of identity and direction but I reckon you can bring that identity and direction at any time. Some people never get to know who they truly are .... we are so lucky that we are experiencing this chance. So, meeting this babysitter gave me hope for future generations (like Barbieken said)... it gives me hope for my kids (it's my job to try to help them enter adulthood with a strong sense of self).... and it gives me hope for me because I may have entered adulthood 20 years ago but I don't think it's ever too late to get on the right tracks and start living the best life I possibly can.
Congratulations to all the fantastic milestoners. ... 24 more for me please xxxx
