Good morning, all!

I love how we talk about our sober lives here. Some of us have some twinges still but having this fellowship to remind us how far we have come and how great it is to wake up sober every day is priceless.

Thanks for all the kind words yesterday. Your support means so much to me.

Had a nice relaxing afternoon and evening. Went out for pizza and spent some quality time with my sports card collection.

Don't know if any of you listen to the Shair Recovery podcast hosted by Omar Pinto. It's my favorite recovery podcast and I highly recommend it. Omar and I finally set up a date to record a show about my story this coming August. I'll let y'all know when it's ready to air, probably sometime this fall.

Have a Satisfying Saturday, overs!

Hiya overs

I’m having a bit of a lazy Saturday. I did a lot of clearing out this week and took a lot of stuff to the hospice shop earlier but now just chilling.

Hope it’s a good one for you too. xx

Hi all!

FBL,
Big belated congrats old bud on nine years! I'll still be a year behind you this September. Yep, Dee, and all the rest of the old crew, some still here on other threads. You've been doing books for the world and really should be a regular on Radio and tape with your pipes. I was tied up yesterday getting my truck back and then had to do some rat killing (errands). It was just over $5K to replace the lift pump, high pressure pump, injector pump, and six injectors to be sure none of the metal shavings got into them. Cummins diesels rarely need parts or anything more than filters and fluids changes. But when a part fails, they are expensive. Fortunately I have a great diesel shop with the best diesel head wrench in these parts. It was nice to get in it and have it purr like a kitten and roar again when I put the pedal to the metal. I was offline until today, or Saturday as I see it is Sunday morning now.

Sassy,
I also had a much beloved Corolla, a Supra, and a Celica along the way. Aren't the rear cameras and Nav today great? Enjoy that new car smell and feel.

Weaver,
Hi backatcha!

Belier,
Hi, welcome to a great group here. Congrats on your 2 years and 2 months too!

Andy,
Your kids are having much fun with your mint green appendage Too!

Hey Star!

Hi Suze!
Good to see you back a bit more too!

Well now that the truck's back I can finish detailing the fifth wheel and put it up for sale. Then the truck and I'll keep the HHR a bit longer.

Ackkk!3AM! I got back to up by 8 or 9 and in bed by 1. I can't slip back into up all night sleep till noon again.

PJ,
I'm so happy for you making it into your art school program. You sure earned it. Some of us might not have done as much or had the desire had we just been normies.

Itchy, I had a backup camera on my Prius but the state of the art is so much better now. I’m happy to end my driving years with a trusty Corolla :-)

Suze, that cast art is something!

Have a good day, Overs.

Good morning Overs.

Great artwork on the cast Venus. I'm having mine cut off again on Wednesday so the quality of the artwork reflects that.

I tried doing stuff in the garden yesterday and over did it. Hauling the cast around and planning how to negotiate steps etc. is tiring.

It's starting to look as if Mrs T has a cracked sternum. I knew she was in pain but she kept saying she was okay and didn't need an x ray. I suppose she's fed up having people prodding and poking at her.

Have a good day everyone.

Best wishes for Mrs. T.

My heel was feeling better, so I went for my extended Sunday morning nature walk and am paying the price this morning. Guess I still need to take it easy for awhile.

Unless the boss throws a last minute curve ball my way, my book project should be complete and off to the printer by this coming Friday.

Have a Marvelous Monday, overs!
