Hi All, it has been sometime since I have been on, but going strong at 2 years + 2 months. So great to see familiar names. Hope everyone is doing well. I just felt like I needed to reconnect with people who understand this whole thing so I may just hang around a bit I think, my new guy drinks and it is bringing up a lot of questions for me, not sure if he just drinks or why it is starting to irk me.

Hi Belier, good to see you going strong. Perhaps you can see how his drinking might become an issue?

Thank you for the good wishes. I like the mint green, it looks as if it would glow in the dark, but it doesn't. The kids have spotted that the cast is now decorable, my only input was to say there should be nothing offensive.

Hi Belier! Great to see you here. It's funny how sometimes people drinking bothers me and some times it doesn't. Trust your gut and be honest with yourself and your friend. Your sobriety always MUST come first.

Well, it's 9 years for me today. I didn't do any meetings in "real life", so after about a month sober I went looking for support online and stumbled onto SR. Dee was one of the first to welcome me and I found such great support here that I never left! I consider all of you wonderful overs to be some of my best friends, even though we have never actually met in person. Thanks for helping me more than you'll ever know.

Hello my lovely thread people, look at all that's going on with you when I look away for a moment. I love your lives.
I'm listening obsessively to Freddie Mercury singing Who Wants To Live Forever, and deciding that he is the ultimate rock star of all time. What a voice. I do, however, Want To Live Forever.
I'm pondering whether I can justify buying some new strings for my husband's electric guitar, and making some serious noise this weekend. I cant play1111.... Or restring a guitar. It will require commitment and overcoming fear.... I'm not generally your girl for those things.
Anyway, I want to reply to everyone and then I forget everything you are all doing by this stage, but I love you all anyway. Mint green art courses. Hah!

Gilmer, it’s a Corolla. Amazing what all has been added. I had a good trade-in and there was a factory incentive so it was about as cheap as it can get. Likely my last one. I plan to stop driving by my early 80’s. At that time I can donate it to ITN and get a big credit toward car rides from that ride network for seniors.

Thanks Gilly- this has given me a structured purpose to work with- that means I have started growing, cognitively again. Important is so much as my brain was too fried even a year ago to do this. It is also something I want to do- not HAVE to do.
