I just apologised to a spider. It is officially the biggest spider I have ever seen. I'm not kidding, this thing is huge....it's definitely not from the UK, it looks like it's from Australia or the imagination of JK Rowling. It's sitting on my bathroom floor, and I was so surprised to see it, I said, 'oh sorry, didn't know anyone was in here' before backing carefully out of the room. I've shut the bathroom door so it can't get out and I'll have to leave it to my husband to deal with when he gets home. I have neither the courage nor the common sense to know how to get it out. We might need to remove the window and get a crane. I'm guessing the spider just wants a break from the wind and rain and that's fine. I got no bad feelings towards the spider .... I just hope it's still there when my husband gets home because if that thing goes missing in action somewhere in this house... we may have to move home.

Sorry. Day One for me. I am not running away from SR though. I will be here working through whatever it takes to get me back to real sobriety, not just mostly sober with a day or two off to drink occasionally.

Kenton- nothing wrong about shutting the door on a spider that would win an arm wrestling comp. Better to have a healthy respect/fear (survival instinct) than be silly. Usually it is the little guys that pack a punch..either way- support to you.

Good afternoon all. Boy am I tired! It's only 3.30 and I could happily go to bed now. Luckily Hannah has gone to a friend's after school and Melly adores Subway so that's us sorted!

8:34 am in North Idaho ❤️I actually came very close to drinking last night. Waking up today I am so relieved that it passed and I’m here to celebrate 40 days today. I thought about all of you and how I pledged that I would stay sober no matter what. Grateful and hangover free on this beautiful Thursday.
