Hey y’all! Sorry I’ve been absent! All 3 of my teens are out of school for the summer and between staying busy with them, going to AA, Alanon (recently added), therapy & living my new sober life I haven’t had time for much else! Ha! Sober is so awesome! I look back on my life 6 months ago & it seems so dark and sad. It WAS! I never wanna go back!

Something fun and exciting...we adopted a kitten a few weeks ago! She’s so sweet! I’m also really enjoying watching the Workd Cup even though the USA didn’t make it in. :-(

Well, today marks 6 months of sobriety and I am so grateful! I just wanted to share! And say hello!

How is everyone doing? Staying cool? It’s soooo hot where we live!

Donated plasma, as I do every 2w..5litres down (including whole blood) 20 to go.
Spent a productive, but stressy day on the phone to various govt people- to put into place study fees - where the govt loan the money and it is paid back, indexed to income over 3 lifetimes. I have to explain my story to new people, 4 in all lately and it still is an event that causes me anxiety and distress..I suppose one could not get more personal in some ways.
That I do- as well as stuff like establishing a garden and making some effort o socialise with 'normal' humans is good, as it shows I am still moving forward.
Support to all.

Good morning gang.

Nice work on the plasma/blood thing PJ. I used to give very regularly when I worked 1 block from the donation center. That was over 10 years ago. Yikes.

Telling your story to so many people over time must make it 100% real. I know my own personal story, and you guys kind of know it I guess. But I’ve never really had to to tell it to anyone face-to-face or over the phone. That seems difficult but helpful, too. Something to consider.

Be good - don’t drink!!

Hi PR.

Lots of organimising for study...paperwork for various official people who crave paper work.
I took my car to a windscreen place, after researching..the windscreen had a chip in it and although auto shops sell a product to keep the crack getting bigger- I thought an insurance- professional job better. So I handed over my keys and sat outside to wait. A guy straight away drove the car around the back, then returned it to the car park about 4 minutes later. He looked at me a nodded- went into the office and I waited another 20 minutes, thinking perhaps there was something more to do. Nope- the car had been ready for 20 minutes, but the rocket scientist did not tell the guy at the desk to tell me.
Truly mindblowing sunrise yesterday- but my old valve driven computer will not let me share it here. And today- te same colours- and the strangest coloured rainbow I have seen.
If there is a god- he/she/it is showing off. It was stunning.
