What a great group!

Hi June ipers!

Glad to see some of my May ers here as well as some great new SR friends!

I’m beginning to find so many resources on these forums. No excuses to drink/use/overeat when our minds control our fingers, so much to do to ride out the fleeting feelings of cravings.

Have you checked the weekenders? Whiners? One year and under? One year and over? (So many inspiring threads). Word games. It’s seems to be endless.

And no matter where you are and your journey toward freedom, From any addiction, we have the opportunity to provide an encouraging word to others.

Behind them all a moderator is donating a lot. A lot! Of time supporting us.

Thank you, thank you, all of you. You are helping me build the sober strength to succeed.

Morning class hope everyone is well.
Day 9 for me. Will be into double figures tomorrow!
The AV been ok today so far. Am at work on a long day 07.30 - 20.00 so have distraction.
Don't know about you guys but I'm absolutely shattered. Sleeping really well but it just doesn't seem to be enough. Going to bed early dropping straight to sleep but exhausted the next day
Oh well no worse than hungover I suppose 🙂

Good morning! Waking up on day 9.

Pinky, I have been def sleeping more and better. Groggy when I wake until I drink my first coffee, I’ve been drinking a lot of coffee.

Day 10 is tomorrow- and last time I got to day 10- I decided to reward myself. Something small that made my day, since I don’t buy much for myself.
Looking forward to doing that again.

Feeling good today. Hubby and I didn’t see eye to eye last night. He eventually apologized. But that is such a trigger for me, i immediately want to drink as soon as we have a small disagreement. Luckily I didn’t have any, cause he did give me a breath alizer. Slowly earning his trust back.

Swim lesson this morning for my daughter. Then we are home the rest of the day. Might do shopping for Father’s Day- but no clue what to get.

Have a great sober day everyone.

Today I'm thinking about strength. I'm tired of obsessing on all the things that I can't do, that are too hard, that are impossible for me because I'm an addict and therefore "different," "worse," "less than" other people. The truth is that I've accomplished many things in my life that are harder and take more time and focus than getting sober. The self-loathing and the fear of failure are my AV talking, finding a subtle way to trick me into giving up before I even try. So, I am putting my shoulder to the wheel. I believe I can accomplish much more than I give myself credit for.

Renaissance Unity
Daily Inspiration for Tuesday, June 12, 2018
God Is Driving

“No thought of fear can enter a mind while it thinks of God.”
~Karen Casey

Today's Affirmation

I am safe, because God is in the driver’s seat.

Today's Meditation

Beloved Creator.

I find my peace, because You are in control.
Any other states of mind dissipate and diminish
as I focus on my oneness with You.
I find myself in You, and that self is naturally at peace in my world.
Perfect love casts out all fear.
There is no room in my world for any fear, because
You are in charge of my life, my actions
and my very being.
I am at peace.
And so it is.
Amen

Happy Tuesday Junipers!

It's another day to take everything in with eyes and minds unclouded (might be hazy for those of us with PAWS or similar stuff, but you get the idea lol).

Best wishes to everybody as I head into the 2nd half of day 10 and off to work. Ja!

completed a week :-)

than you for the support - the drinking was only over a few months - from a few bottles of premium beer in the first week, to 3 litres of moonshine a day in the 4 or 5 days before I quit

anyway - feeling a bit better and SO GLAD I got through the first week

well done if you made it another day :-)
