Guys, I'm knackered. We had to paint our degree show spaces at Uni today and it took me alllll day. These walls are massive and prepping and painting the hall is so time consuming, but I kinda enjoy it; it feels like I'm being productive... I still have to go there tomorrow morning to apply a 2nd coat, but I'm taking it easy.
I'm sooooo hungryyy, it's time to nom something.

♥♥Normally I like to count days, but this time I think I'm just going to be sober forever. The RR book made sense to me about that. I also have a new fabulous sober hair do with which to move forward!!
A haircut that says my true life is beginning!Back to work tomorrow and I'm a bit anxious. Not so much about work but about being able to check in as much as I have been. I'm always really tired when I'm working but I've made the commitment to do this. It's that whole thing about putting as much effort into recovery as drinking and making it THE priority.

Kenton - I had a proper big lump in my throat reading your post. It was so moving. I really think that we open up channels at times and it's really amazing that your dad came through.

Gabe, I also felt I need a hair makeover to mark the beginning of my new better sober life, so I decided to dye my hair pastel pink. My natural colour is dark brown, so I had to bleach my hair first, but I chickened out half way through and I ended up with this terrible uneven ombré thingy... umm... still a change I guess.
