That’s awesome Plenny, I used to work in a tattoo studio for a while a few years back, but decided it’s not for me. I have another opportunity for an apprenticeship here where I live but tbh I’m not sure if I want to do it... My dream job is still freelance illustration and large scale stuff, murals, street art etc. And to become a good tattoo artist I would have to dedicate my entire time, drawing so it works with the body is extra difficult too... so I admire what you do! I’d love to see more of your work. Do you have Instagram?

GOOD STUFF PLENNY! and SNUF!

Just a motivator here guys....it is never too late to chase your dreams.
My deceased mum- went to Uni and got her BA, she was a housewife and 64.
I beat her by 10 years..I got into the art school I wanted. I am going to stick out like something that is in a place it does not belong, but what the hey, after my last 3 years- anything is poss. I understand the resistance to change thing only too well. It paralysed me to the brink, literally of death.
Small steps folks..
support to y'all.

I'm a big fan of looking for windows instead of staring at walls, Phoenix, if you know what I mean (Snufkin knows ) . I love seeing you do whatever you want to do no matter if it fits in someone elses mold or ideal. It's because you are an artist!

I am hitting the big league folks. I just read over the material lists for the subjects I am enrolling in for the arts program..for painting, sculpture and drawing. I had planned a budget- then tripled it..for those did-not-know about expenses. I have enough, but very little left in the kitty. Gone is the use of the cheapie acrylics and poster-kindy paints from those cheapie variety shops..

Yes! You'll have a whole new grasp on materials and how they work! That's one of my favorite things about class. My favorite gifts are always tools that help execute my ideas or necessities. It's a little shot of enlightenment

Here's hoping Plen.
I went and saw the student officer/counselor person and talked over my disabilities (short term memory, fatigue, depth perception, extra time to absorb new info-- especially with numbers)..caused by the burns and the booze. All good.

Awesome PJ

I’m heading out of town with no internet for two weeks. Hopefully I will make a bunch of art with my boyfriend’s niece and actually have some fun creating time. I can’t believe I’ll be up there for so long but this is a much needed break. I love you all, keep creating! Xoxoxo

Just saw this quote ~ thought it would be good to share, and hopefully bring this thread back around

"Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up." - Pablo Picasso
