Nice! Decluttering is so good for the soul. Last year I read a brilliant book called Goodbye Things, which led to me cutting loose about 70% of my stuff. It's very freeing, and I haven't missed any of it.

In for 24. Tired, but the sun is shining and I'm listening to Moondog which always sets me up good and proper. Well done milestoners

And love to all doing the righteous sober thing

Checking in for 24 hrs more of wonderful sobriety. 0553 Lake Winnebago Time.

Yesterday was odd....up very early and then down for a nap mid-morning that turned in to a day of all sleep broken up for eating and peeing.

Feeling so much different this morning...physical shift to the good. Like mind and spirit.

Everyone have a grand day!

So I've been trying to change my eating habits...gained waaayyy to much since quitting drinking (about 30 lbs since January 2016)...so tonight I am struggling with not eating, and it is reminding me so much of early sobriety, except instead of wine I am fantasizing about peanut butter and ice cream! Right now I am using my experience with stopping drinking, and thinking ahead how good I will feel tomorrow if I abstain from eating before bed. It will be like the first time waking up sober. Wish me luck!!
That's a great idea. I gained lots of weight last year after my shoulder surgery. I sat on my porch, having pity parties eating and drinking. I've since lost most of it despite drinking. Since I quit drinking i 111 days ago, the weight is beginning to creep up. I'm a night eater and frequently get up in the middle of the night to eat, which has gotten worse since I quit drinking. I am going to try this too. How you doing with the new plan?

5:45am in Alberta, today is going to be a darn good day not to drink!

Another 24 please, and thanks...

Love today's quote! Thanks Abcowboy xxx

Just entered the ballot for next year's London marathon.... so excited! Really hope I get a place. Ran the marathon 4 years ago and it's a wonderful experience ..... one I want to repeat now I'm sober..... not that I was drunk when I ran it last time but it was during my drinking days and I want to do it again during this next stage of my life. Congratulations to all the marvellous milestoners. ... 24 more for me please xxxx

You ran a marathon during your drinking days kent? Wow girl.....
Yes, this will be WAY better. And get a place? Is it hard? Are people knocking each other over to get their name down here? Are they going to run out of shoes or something?

Sorry. Silly. Happy. Love you. ♥♥

I have said this before and not followed through....sorry.....but I really am brilliant with the whole food/weight issue. It is a HUGE part of my life.....way bigger than my drinking even, if you can imagine. When I was around 22, I was over 200 pounds....I am just under 5ft 4. (Size 4 now).

I also battled again after I got sober and I still do.....now I battle to eat. I have to make myself because I lost my hunger response. Anyway, that part is irrelevant.....the relevant part is I can help with the ways to eat that reduce food cravings dear Vini and everyone.....empowering ourselves by CHOOSING what we eat every time....yes, every time is magic.

I was pretty sick after moving here....massive changes and I am allergic to everything as so many of you know....and don't forget dislocating my jaw...that was fun....anyway.....I had to start again. Everything I knew about food from the beginning....finding the best ingredients and healthy options here. I am confident now that I can eat all of the fantastic fresh foods I ate in Australia....you should see my fridge....filled with greens and yogurt and all things healthy.

Yes, there is also lots of chocolate....but it gets eaten a small amount at a time.

It's REALLY hard to get a place in the marathon. I've applied in the ballot for the last 3 years and didn't get a place. And last year I tried to get a charity place with Cancer UK and Alzheimers Research and I couldn't get a place with either of them because they had too many applicants.... which is a good thing. Actually, it's an awesome thing. But next year the London marathon is on 28 April 2019 which would have been my dad's birthday if he was still alive so I really really want to run it in his memory. So I'm determined to get a place .... by hook or by crook I will be at that start line next year. .... and hopefully at the finish line too.... many hours later xxxx
