24Hour Recovery Connections Part 377
“No one ever finds life worth living - one has to make it worth living.” – Winston Churchill
6:10am in Alberta, it's going to be a darn good day not to drink!
I'll have 24 more please, and thanks...
Yesterday was a difficult day in terms of my wife's mental attitude. It's like the devil himself has taken residence inside her. She is so terrified and her mind is making her miserable. I'm trying to help but I feel so helpless.
Today's quote taped to the mirror
There are plenty of difficult obstacles in your path. Don’t allow yourself to become one of them.

Birds are chirping- life is so, so good.
I am really working on putting things into perspective. I moan and get so easily upset about most things these days- I am irritable, short, impatient and intolerant , when there are people who have lost their homes, their family members or their sanity. People in countries of war, people who fear losing their lives every day, women who live in places where they cannot express their true value.
I have everything I need- a beautiful home, loving parents who live 5 minutes away, my siblings who love me and 2 really good friends nearby (and 1 only a phone call away.) I really have nothing to complain about. I can be whoever I want to be- the slate is blank.
I am so blessed to have found SR, to be sober, to be rebuilding my life with grace and presence. Really, I have it all. I just need to stop forgetting that.
May we all find a moment today to truly recognize the blessings in our lives, even the small ones.
I love each and every one of you- we are all connected, we are all LOVE.

Good morning everyone. Its 9.30am here in the UK. Please count me in for another 24 hours sober and clean. I am facing a bad few weeks/months but am determined to stay strong. It is not being sober that is hard it is dealing with the problems I created whilst drinking. It is going to take some time to sort it all out.
Today is good. I am going to a lunchtime party/picnic at a fellow AAs house, everyone from the meetings will be there and I am looking forward to it.
Congratulations to those celebrating a milestone, my thoughts and prayers go out to those suffering and struggling.

We are going to be with you all the way....and today sounds lovely.
One step at a time baby......and a favourite that a friend in NA taught me years ago..... "Keep You Head Where Your Hands Are". I use that one every day. ♥♥♥
Stay strong Juliet! You're doing so well xxx
I'm just back from my morning run and feeling great. It's my dad's birthday today. Would give anything to see him and give him a gift today. But instead I will put flowers on his grave and try to make him proud. Next best thing.
Congratulations to everyone celebrating a milestone today and love to everyone. 24 more for me please xxxx

I am trying a new exercise class this morning - one where you spend 40 minutes on some type of contraption where you adjust weights, stand one way or another, grab this bar or another or not, lie down on something that moves and try to follow a class where you are led through all sorts of pretzel movements on this contraption that are supposed to work your core. Needless to say, I am a bit concerned that I won't be able to follow the instructor in using this torture machine and\or I will get pinched or fall or make a fool of myself using it. Can't remember why I thought this might be a good idea when I signed up for the class. Deep breath! ok - can't be all that bad.
Another 24 for me, please.
