Ouch Peej. I went shopping the other day and it’s only when an old guy gave me and it a funny look I realised I’d pulled out two stuck together and hadn’t noticed the additional weight!

Love the butterfly garden Trachy, sounds awesome. Last year I went for a cliff walk in Spain, must have been the time the butterfly’s emerged from their cocoons or something, as the whole walk I was surrounded by a cloud of them, it was lovely.

Talking walks went for a lovely hike yesterday along parts of Jocks Road,
Jock's Road
We don’t do the whole walk as we had some serious football (soccer) to be watching, the second semi of the Scottish cup. We walked -nay danced- all over our bitter rivals cruising to a 4-0 victory on our way to an unheard of double treble ( winning the two cups and the league in a year is a treble, it’s never been done two consecutive years!)
Oh, and my horse won in the Grand National on Saturday so we had a good weekend in all!

Dee- any injury I incur these days is water off a duck's back. Well, I only have small ones- not massive drinking ones.

Support to all.

hi guys !
Going for my yearly check up. I love my Dr. She has known my whole story
from the beginning and darn proud to be sober again this year for my visit with her and not having the shakes or looking through glassy eyes.

That’s awesome, babs! It’s a good feeling, isn’t it? I always look forward to my doc telling me my liver is “beautiful.” After years of freaking out about blood tests, it’s so nice to be healthy.

Trachy, how many cubic yards in 1500# of mulch? I miss the smell of fresh mulch in the morning, but my back is still paying for being a full time landscaper in my 30’s. I feel ya man.

Italked spring so my schedule is wierd, so I’m grateful to be off today. Yesterday was brutal, but can’t complain because it’s nothing compared to the family I went to support. A kid I’ve known since he was a young camper, who grew up with us and became a teen volunteer, passed away and his funeral was yesterday. It was a beautiful service, but this whole situation is just raw and heart and gut wrenching.

Thankfully, drinking doesn’t seem like a possibility at all. Not even a thought except to talk about it now.

No idea. Not that many really. I think each bag is 2 cubic feet. Problem is moisture content. Dry, a bag only weighs about 30 pounds. Most of these are wet from local rainfall so the weight goes up. And being in bags, you end up handling them two, sometimes three times. Today was put them in a wheelbarrow, roll them to the bed, unload wheelbarrow, move to location, cut bag and spread. This is an appearance mulching so the spreading is "delicate". We're putting an inch of new on top of the faded old. Ever tried spreading an inch of mulch on mulch?

Saw the first hummingbird moth of the year today. The yellow and black variety. Can't wait to get this garden started. Last year there were a lot of butterflies daily.

(((We))) I'm so sorry. I'm sure he was a wonderful kid and the loss of anyone that young ... it's unthinkable.

Ok, this is the adult version of the site, right? If I offend, Dee will hammer me...again.

I finally got un-dessicated. I finally got enough hydration to have a good...pee.

I was that dehydrated.

Is that the same as a weedwhacker?

Weedwhacking is from hell!

I’m sorry you’re suffering!

Hi All!

All is going well in Buddville, didn't get the job offer, but that's OK. I think they did right and hired people from other factories. Fresh eyes, I believe , will be able to help more.

They also announced today that we are getting the whole weekend off, this will be the first 2 days in a row scheduled off since New Years, in fact, they said it's possible we may have weekends off until June. I doubt it but we will see, I definitely won't plan anything I have to put a deposit down on.

Nature Boy and Aunt Bee are doing great, still don't listen worth a darn!

Thanks for the catch up Budd, doesn’t sound like you’re too disappointed in not getting the job. Enjoy your whole weekend off!

Trachy, weed eater/whacker, is that like a strummer? Like going round the edges of a lawn or thick grass like an motorised scythe? If so, I have a few hours doing the same thing to look forward to today, Yay!!
